Re: Ben Mee
Great stuff.
A good transfer window isn't just defined by who you bring in,
but also by keeping your existing main playing staff at the club.
Well done all round for getting this over the line.

This is good news, Ben for me epitomises the spirit and the 'we will not be defeated attitude' which runs through the team.

Signing of the summer! Great news! Would have easily cost 25m - 30m to replace him.

Fantastic news! I'd given up hope. All of a sudden - in the space of just four days - our window has become a success.
Can't help thinking the signing of Ben Gibson sent out a message to Ben but whether it did or not who cares?

Re: Ben Mee
Think the signature of Gibson signalled to BM the club's ambition.
Rather think that was what he wanted to see.

Re: Ben Mee
Delighted.
Tarks, Mee and Gibson is a very strong defence. I have no problem with Kev Long either.
Things definitely looking up, that feeling of negativity is disappearing over the horizon.
If only we could get Brady and Defour fit, and keep them fit, we would be in dreamland.

Good stuff. Gonna be a real battle for places at the back now with Gibson here. Hopefully pushes them to perform at an even higher level.

Looks like no club coming in for Ben to offer him the money he has been looking for and a new signing in his position has led him to reconsider running his contract down.

Re: Ben Mee
Great news. As stated above, I wonder if he was looking at our squad and wondering if we had enough to keep moving forward. Regardless, we have 4 CBs all with the ability to play at this level, which is marvellous.

Re: Ben Mee
Excellent.
Re: Ben Mee
My guess would be that he was waiting to check that the wage policy was remaining intact because he didn't want to sign a contract under the old policy and then see new boys flying in on double the money. He was always going to sign as long as the club played it right by him, which they have.

As above I think he just wanted to feel valued by the board which is why talks were dragged out. Glad they have all agreed terms. Great news! UTC

Re: Ben Mee
I said he wasn't going anywhere weeks ago but did anyone listen?
Hey things are going well eh? And if you can believe the Sky Sports predictor just released we are going to finish 8th (behind Leicester apparently). I'll take that with a decent run in Europe and maybe a good go at a domestic cup.
