Thank you Michael Keane
Not being harsh on the lad, but his fee has helped fund this window, and also he showed that the grass aint necessarily greener on the other side, even on more money

Re: Thank you Michael Keane
Michael Keane just picked the wrong team at the wrong time. Not his fault because I thought it was a good move for him. Hindsights a wonderful thing.
If Silva can get the best out of him, or he moves to a better 'team', he will be back in the England set up. He is still a great player, despite what Everton fans think.

On the face of it, Keane made a good move. Koeman was highly rated, and no one predicted we would qualify for Europe last year. I'm sure he isn't too disappointed, it won't be a career defining season and I still think he'll prove himself at international level.

Re: Thank you Michael Keane
he is a good example to a lot of players who might be offered a good chance to play for Burnley, hardly a fashionable club or even a known club until the last couple of years. Obviously a good long term manager for stability, PL stability now and clearly players, not only MK, who come in and improve under the club direction. Clearly areas such as the training set up is another incentive, several players getting into internationally teams including contention for England team must be appealing in my opinion.
MK one of the first of these recently and the figure he went for was huge for a Burnley player and a CH in general I thought, B Mee is the better of all the CH's lately and seems to hold it together calmly and without fuss, so pleased he's signed that extension

Re: Thank you Michael Keane
His move to Everton cost him a World Cup semi-final.
Re: Thank you Michael Keane
His move to Everton badly exposed him as a weak, slow, sluggish defender, thanks for paying 10x his value Everton.

he left a club on the up, to a side in disarray. everton were once half decent, but nowadays they are a shambles.

I think Keane was made to look better than what he is by playing in our defence minded team alongside ben mee who is our true star. I think Keane is a good player and cracking lad but he isnt as good as Mee or Tarks.

Turned like a bus for Barnes' goal on the Turf, certainly can't blame Williams or anyone else for that goal but i'm sure you will try.taio wrote:"Slow"

We're talking about an Everton central defender being sh**e, absolutely nothing to do with the club...Steve1956 wrote:I think you should change your username to KBRFCand pop off down the road, you don't half slag off our club.

Re: Thank you Michael Keane
Now he won't be having to play alongside the cart horse Williams, he should have a better season.
Re: Thank you Michael Keane
He’s badly out of form but one thing his isn’t is slow.KRBFC wrote:His move to Everton badly exposed him as a weak, slow, sluggish defender, thanks for paying 10x his value Everton.
He’s very quick for a centre half.

Bad positioning by Keane yes. To use that to support your general statement that he's slow is unsurprisngly foolish. It was well known Keane was the quickest player at our club.KRBFC wrote:Turned like a bus for Barnes' goal on the Turf, certainly can't blame Williams or anyone else for that goal but i'm sure you will try.
Re: Thank you Michael Keane
I don't care how fast he was 2 years ago with us, last season he looked like he had bricks in his boots.taio wrote:Bad positioning by Keane yes. To use that to support your general statement that he's slow is unsurprisngly foolish. It was well known Keane was the quickest player at our club.
Re: Thank you Michael Keane
But if that's your best example of him being slow it's further confirmation of your cluelessness. By the way it was the season before last.KRBFC wrote:I don't care how fast he was 2 years ago with us, last season he looked like he had bricks in his boots.

Re: Thank you Michael Keane
Keane was and is an absolute rock of a centre half. Good in the air, quick and reads the game extremely well.
He was poor last season in a defensively awful team but to suggest his value should have been 10 times less than what we received from Everton, ie. Circa 3 million is laughable beyond belief.

Re: Thank you Michael Keane
Several times last season he was caught out of position. But it looked like he was expecting his other centre half to be in a position they often werent. This was down to having our system ingrained his head and how we close down angles rather than pick up players. The amount of times they conceded Nd he could be seen looking at Williams/Jagielka as if to say why werent you there is unbelievable. Would fit back in our side effortlesslu but feel at Everton he will soon be a forgotten man

Re: Thank you Michael Keane
I was behind the goal at Brighton when Michael Keane powered that header in. For that moment I will love the man forever. I would probably feel the same about the equaliser at the Turf v Middlesbrough had I been able to attend that match too.
So yes indeed.....Thank you Michael Keane.

Excellent player for us, poor form last season but sure he’ll bounce back.
Some people get really angry when people choose to leave Burnley don’t they.

yes and rightly so, I dont get this clinginess about ex clarets, barton more or less would have sabotaged our progress by his snide campaigning to lure dyche to everton, keane wanted away and got his big chance and blew it.Bordeauxclaret wrote:Excellent player for us, poor form last season but sure he’ll bounce back.
