I remember seeing Brian Flynn (1.61m) outjump Micky Droy (1.93m) for a ball in the 3 all draw at Stamford bridge in August 1994 (3-0 down at half time)

Stuart Robertson? Always looked like the ball was too big and heavy for him to kick.

Re: Smallest player to play for burnley
Billy Ingham wasn't overly tall and I remember him driving for Burnley and Pendle, he was only of small stature behind a wheel.

Re: Smallest player to play for burnley
Smallest dons player was a guy was a lad called Willo Flood, low centre of gravity, superb when the ball was on the ground. Not much taller than Verne Troyer but still a giant to a man like tup.
Re: Smallest player to play for burnley
We signed a player I think he was a winger called Chippendale in the dark days. I remember he was small, small and crap.

It has to be Flynny. John Price did look very small, and his brother, Alf Price was much smaller.

Re: Smallest player to play for burnley
I can't seem to find the height of one of my favourite players back in the day, but Billy Ingham the Ginger Pele sprang to my mind. He was a top lad and a great little player who really got stuck in, he was also a great bus driver and always happy to chat.

When I say 1994 I mean 1974. Time of three day week and day time kick off to save the floodlights having to be switched onJ_Grimshaw wrote:I remember seeing Brian Flynn (1.61m) outjump Micky Droy (1.93m) for a ball in the 3 all draw at Stamford bridge in August 1994 (3-0 down at half time)
