We need a starting line-up to be fresh and ready to go on Sunday which would imply few of them starting tomorrow. We just don't have a big enough, fit squad at the moment so I really couldn't hazard a guess as to who starts tomorrow apart from Lindegaard in goal. Take your pick for the remaining 10 positions.

Really? Hadn't realised that. In that case I would go 442 with Hendrick on the left and and vokes up top. Not ideal.

.........Lindegaard
Lowton Tarks Mee Taylor
.......Westwood Cork
JBG......Hendrick....Barnes
.............Vokes

Options to bring Ward on and push Taylor up, leaving Barnes with Vokes in a 442, or McNeil for a CM to have the same result

Obviously Ward might start ahead of Taylor, but I think we can afford to rest Ward

Sean Dyche: Başakşehir ready for match
Sean Dyche, coach of Burnley's UK representative, will be a guest at Medipol Başakşehir in the first qualifying round of UEFA Europa League 3rd preliminary round, saying they are ready to meet.

Dyche was in a press conference at the 3rd Istanbul Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium, where Benjamin Mee, a football player, also participated.

Referring to the fact that there are no problems at the moment, the English coach said, "We have checked the stage and the environment and we have no problems until now and we are ready for the match tomorrow." she said.

Medipol Dache emphasized that Başakşehir is built of quality players, "Başakşehir, an experienced team, we know that they have done a lot of international matches. used expressions.

Sean Dyche, who reminded Scotland of the UEFA Europa League preliminary round match against Scotland's Aberdeen team, said, "There were players injured in the Aberdeen games, so it's hard to say that it's an advantage for us to do more official matches. "he said.

- Mee: "It will be a difficult match"

Benjamin Mee, defense agent of the UK representative, said they were waiting for a tough match.

"I think we will continue and be successful in the same way," Mee said. found in the description.

The 28-year-old footballer emphasizes that they are expecting a well-balanced match, "We have worked healthy and strong, we have passed through a difficult process, I am expecting a well-balanced match, we are ready to do it, we know Basaksehir. I hope we will be the winner. " she said.

A little lost in translation I think lol.

I think the number of players unavailable tomorrow night would be the stumbling block to a decent result.

Hart needs to play. He needs game time behind our brilliant back4.
For the same reason Gibson won't start. Cork and Westwood are a given at the moment.
JBG right side. Hendrick in the hole.
then decisions: Dependant on Wood's availability for Sunday SD won't play both Barnes and Vokes. I'd start BAshley
left wideman. ? I'd go McNeill but possibly Taylor to get the nod.

Hart
Lowton..Tarks..Mee..Ward
JBG..Westwood..Cork..Taylor
Hendrick
Barnes

Hart
Tark Gibson Mee
Lowton Westwood Cork Hendrick Ward
JBG
Barnes

I think this team highlights how short we are out wide and in central midfield without Brady and Defour. 1 fit wide player, 3 fit CM's.

Don’t think our fullbacks are effective enough going forward to ever warrant a 3ATB.

Doesn't have to be a FB getting forward though. Could quite as easily be a winger who has the defensive ability to do a job. What you must have is the two wider CHs having the ability to defend out wide, if called for. In Tarks, right, and Mee, left, we have this.

Lindegaard (excuse the spelling)

Lowton Tarkowski Mee Ward

Hendrick Cork Westwood Gudmundsson

Vokes Barnes

p.s. oops! I forgot about Cork so he`s in and Taylor`s out. Also, don`t think Lindegaard should be dropped as by all accounts, gave a good showing in the Aberdeen games.

Hart needs a lot more of Billy Mercer before being thrown in

He's not played competitively since being dropped for his errors last season

It’s a real backs to the wall team , and considering our “ best 5”( wood,Brady ,defour,Heaton Lennon) are al out it shows we can still put a decent workmanlike side out.

Gonna be a tough night and maybe we can just about handle the total lack of creativity in our team . Bring em back to turf and raise the roof we can get past these

I suppose. But Ben is OUR leader, and i don’t really trust him too far away from the centre. He’s been a completely different player since he moved form LB. He’s gone from a steady, occasionally error-prone championship player, to a Europa League captaining potential England player.

I’m not suggesting he play at LB. It’s a back 3 who slide left or right depending where the attack is building. That is it’s strength, it is so flexible. It even gives Tarks more opportunities to come out with the ball knowing he has Mee and Gibson behind him.

Adebayor and Arda Turan out for them apparently - massive plus, on paper easily their best two players.

I would go for it and try and nick an away goal:

Hart
Lowton Tarkowski Mee Ward
Gudmundsson Cork Westwood Hendrick
Barnes Vokes

I'll be surprised if Hart plays

He doesn't know us yet, or our systems, and has probably played less football than Lindegaard over the past weeks.

Also, if Lindegaard drops a clanger, people will just shrug their shoulders and say he's only our third / fourth choice keeper. Whereas, if Hart makes a big mistake, that might put us out of a competition we've waited 50 years for, he will be slagged off by the press and fans alike forever and a day - and not recover from it.

I'm not sure SD will put him in tonight for both of the above reasons.

I think Hart will probably play. Dyche likes to back his big characters.

---------Hart
Lowton Tarks Mee Taylor
-----Westy Cork
JBG Hendrick Barnes
------Vokes

Can see the argument he might leave a couple out for Sunday, but realistically I'd expect that to be players who have any sort of niggle.

I thought those with current 'niggles' were already unavailable. The thought that there might be available players with 'niggles' doesn't bode well really.

I get what you’re saying but there’s no way we approach games thinking how to minimise the mental fall-out of a clanger. We pick the best team & assume, rightly, a clanger won’t be coming almost every time.
