Is the team sheet out?
Assume he’s on the right and JBG left.

Re: WALTERS STARTS
Only 2 none defenders on the bench and Lennon may not be fully fit. Wow.
Re: WALTERS STARTS
Alternatively it could be that Dyche doesn't see the Europa league as important as the PL.MACCA wrote:Wow, if true, that shows how short of options we are...

Seems we're already into 'making up the numbers' from the bench with Lennon's inclusion.

Re: WALTERS STARTS
Bear in mind that Walters started a cup tie early on last season. The reason why he hasn’t featured since is because he’s been injured. The fact that we are a couple of players down due to injury and with a big league game on Sunday I don’t really see this as a surprise.

Lindegaard being wrapped in cotton wool in case Hart goes down.
Good use of the squad now we just need a result.

Fake news, he wasn't injured for the entire season, he just wasn't deemed good enough to feature.Rileybobs wrote:Bear in mind that Walters started a cup tie early on last season. Re: WALTERS STARTS
I am quite happy with that team. Strong core and a few seasoned players with a point to prove. Quite rightly there is more than an eye on Sunday's PL game.
I rather hope Walters bangs in a goal.

Good chance for Walters to put himself in shop window. Although that line up doesn't inspire me with much confidence I have to say.

What about the Istanbul lineup?
Re: WALTERS STARTS
What eyes are on Sunday here? I’d say it’s more a selection out of necessity due to being down to the bare bones bare bones.ElectroClaret wrote:As others have pointed out, eyes on Sunday.
Only really Lowton and Ward that would likely be selected from tonight’s subs to start on Sunday.

State of our attacking options but, of course, we didn’t need to add today. It’s been a bwilliant window.

That's exactly what suggests he's thinking more about Sunday. Otherwise, Ward and Lowton would have started.

Taylor is going to have to be our 4th winger. Away he will be fine. At home we home going to struggle without brady to create.

Re: WALTERS STARTS
I didn't say he was injured for the entire season. He was injured for a huge portion of it and when he returned to fitness we were on top form and had fit players (some which we signed after his injury) who had cemented their position in front of Walters in the pecking order. It's not hard to comprehend.KRBFC wrote:Fake news, he wasn't injured for the entire season, he just wasn't deemed good enough to feature.
Re: WALTERS STARTS
Don't think Taylor at left back makes us any weaker. For me he's our best left back now.

Re: WALTERS STARTS
As DCWat suggested earlier there is little or no choice really
It's barebones time already and the main attraction isn't underway yet. I don't know anything about the opposition but surely they must see an opportunity here to take a lead to the second leg.

On reflection, looking at that 18 just illustrates how completely devoid of youth we’ve become.

Well the big lumps performance (or lack of it) didnt really justify the emphatic title given to this thread. Id have loved him to bag a hatrick and leave me with egg on my face even if it meant the happy clappers wetting themselves and getting all I told you so on here.
Unfortunately he's still not good enough and as im planning to go to Athens if we win I pray Dyche gives us a bit more quality and firepower next Thursday
