Excellent first half but you still don't know where the goal is coming from.

Not disapppointed here. First game of the season and we have players to come back.

Re: Sarfampton v The Clarets
I'll take that. A point away from home in the first league game of the season. Good performance first half with plenty of attacking intent. Good defensive performance throughout (with more to do in the second half). We showed both sides of our game but just unable to take those chances. Finishing chances isn't usually the issue for us - it's creating them. So I'm happy enough with that. Very pleased for Hart and defence re the clean sheet. Will do wonders for confidence.
UTC and thanks to Longsidebovril for the updates, much obliged.

Ok performance, solid defensively, nothing really going forward.

Good away point. Southampton are going to struggle again on the evidence of their performance.

Shame obviously not to bag all three points, but a draw, first game of the season away from home is not to be sniffed at. Useful point and good to get off the mark immediately.

Re: Sarfampton v The Clarets
no, southampton looked fine, great point away for us, first half was very bright especially.
a win next week will get us up and running. That was a good away performance today.

On that performance Southampton will struggle this season, only looked decent when Ings came on .
Re: Sarfampton v The Clarets
I'm not knocking or questioning what we did last season and I believe we played to our strengths hence the outcome, and taking in to account the baron period after Christmas we could have been top 6. However when you consider our current sick list and signings, i think this team looks bloody strong...FactualFrank wrote:Finished 7th in the Premier League; are difficult to beat and qualifed for Europe.
