Just note it is an initial allocation - so potentially more tickets available. I'll check that.

But we’re Burnley...not Barnsley!ClaretTony wrote:Club have had to abandon plans for a flight because of the price involved
Re: 2018/19: Olympiacos v Burnley – Ticket Information
It’ll be nice if the club could let us know what the price actually was quoted. It’ll be a good exercise and getting feedback from fans could be crucial for further trips.ClaretTony wrote:Club have had to abandon plans for a flight because of the price involved
The prices of flights as they are for this trip are more than what Im willing to pay. Only because I dont want to mess about flying here, stopping there etc. If there was a direct flight, full of clarets and transfers from/to airport to the ticket pickup etc it’ll be worth the extra £££. Obviously that all depends on what price was quoted though.

Re: 2018/19: Olympiacos v Burnley – Ticket Information
Charter flights are far too expensive to even consider. Our coach firm are happy to take us but it would need a 1 week round trip! It's 2200 miles!ClaretAL wrote: Leisure, have you booked a fleet of planes?

Typically at this time of year at this notice I think you'd be talking between £700 and £1000 per head depending on the size of the plane (this includes landing slots etc etc)Dyched wrote:It’ll be nice if the club could let us know what the price actually was quoted. Thanks for this CT, as posted elsewhere, 3 out of 4 in the family have ST, though youngest doesn't. Hotel already booked around corner from DIVANIClaretTony wrote:There is an option for more should we sell the initial allocation
Re: 2018/19: Olympiacos v Burnley – Ticket Information
I don't think his would be too far off the mark to be honest but get to the group stages and games in October/November you can reduce these prices by around half.deanothedino wrote:Typically at this time of year at this notice I think you'd be talking between £700 and £1000 per head depending on the size of the plane (this includes landing slots etc etc)

This probably wouldn't be that indicative of later matches. It's short notice and in peak summer holiday period.Dyched wrote:It’ll be nice if the club could let us know what the price actually was quoted. It’ll be a good exercise and getting feedback from fans could be crucial for further trips.

I think you might be on the low side too with £700.deanothedino wrote:Typically at this time of year at this notice I think you'd be talking between £700 and £1000 per head depending on the size of the plane (this includes landing slots etc etc)

Agreed, the biggest problem you'd have this time of year is actually getting an aircraft.ralphc wrote:I don't think his would be too far off the mark to be honest but get to the group stages and games in October/November you can reduce these prices by around half.
Re: 2018/19: Olympiacos v Burnley – Ticket Information
For the game in Istanbul I had 2 firms quote for chareter flights. The 1st one needed a minimum of 180 bookings and the cost was £900 per person. The other needed 100 bookings and that was £1000 per person.

Depends.ClaretTony wrote:I think you might be on the low side too with £700.
An A320 is normally about £10k an hour, 140 seats... But then you've got landing slots to get which will be premium at this time of year.
Doubt many operators will have any spare A320s kicking around this time of year at this notice though.
Re: 2018/19: Olympiacos v Burnley – Ticket Information
Of course yes. It’ll be good to get some feedback at least. Im not saying we should do it or moaning that we haven’t.aggi wrote:This probably wouldn't be that indicative of later matches. It's short notice and in peak summer holiday period.
The trouble doing this in the future (if) we get to the group stages is that flights could be dirt cheap. Depending on who we get you could be talking £100 or less return on flights.
Say the club could offer a package at an 50% (going off current flights to athens and a few posters commenting on what the charter prices are likely to be) increase on what flights/transfer are available, will the fans be willing to pay? It could give the club a decent head start on future planning for future games and the CL next season.
Re: 2018/19: Olympiacos v Burnley – Ticket Information
I dont think that is actually to bad. Say a direct flight, transfers to the hotel for ticket pickup, coach to ground, back again and transfer back to the airport was on offer at a similar price from the club. Id rather pay that than £500 for a flight to germany, 3 hours wait, then another flight to athens and the same return journey.Leisure wrote:For the game in Istanbul I had 2 firms quote for chareter flights. Two purchased for me and my old man, cannot wait !!
Re: 2018/19: Olympiacos v Burnley – Ticket Information
But would there be another 99 fans willing to pay so much? I doubt it. Hence no-one is prepared to risk organising charter flights and risk it being cancelled at the last minute due to not enough interest.Dyched wrote:I dont think that is actually to bad. I'll stick with what they call themselves, what UEFA call them and what's on the seats.

'K' is more Greek than 'C' from what I can tell. It always was Olympiakos, I think perhaps a Greek is needed to answer this.

Re: 2018/19: Olympiacos v Burnley – Ticket Information
Does Janni know as to why there are two different spellings? Is it to do with their script and our alphabet? K is in our alphabet, too, so perhaps it's something else. Wish I could go, it's a big club in those parts.
It's sorted, but not to troublemakers like me.

Anyone got an idea how many we've sold?
I can buy mine tomorrow, but partner doesn't have a season ticket.. hoping they reach general sale.

Re: 2018/19: Olympiacos v Burnley – Ticket Information
I've used C because that's what they use (as per their website) and is how they are referred to on the UEFA site. It's easier than the last team we played because at least there aren't all the special characters to add. I haven't switched from one to the other, I've remained consistent and I'll continue using the C rather than the K.cricketfieldclarets wrote:C and k are both right.
