We played well first half after shocking first 5 mins.
Second half we were poor, tired and frustrated.

Watford deserve credit though - they played very well. Deeney especially was very strong and everything he did was so much better than our forwards (today) - a real handful.
Andre Gray played well also....his best game for Watford.

That was our 6th competitive game of the season, and the 6th time we've failed to hit the standard that we set ourselves last season. We held our own to some extent in the first half without every really threatening them, but we were miles off it in the second half and were well beaten in the end.

Have to agree with 107. We just look like we are at the end of a long hard season and we just want to pack our bags and head for the beach.

Watford looked fitter, faster and brighter than us.

With the type of football we play we really do need to be getting results or the fans will soon turn on the team.

1st half chances went begging, with the midfield sitting deep nobody could get on the end of the Lennon cut backs.
Hendrick looks like a fish out of water playing the No 10 roll, he as no eye for goal and doesn't take up goal scoring positions in the box. We really need to get the new guy fit asap, put Hendrick back into centre mid to replace Westwood who is just not good enough at this level

Hart 6 - not at fault for goals

Lowton 5 - very good first half, poor second where he lost his head
Ward 4 - worst i've seen him play...
Mee 5 - indecisive with poor distribution
Tarky 6 - best of a bad bunch back there...kept going

Lennon 4 - bright opening half hour then totally anonymous for the remaining hour. Might as well have 10 men when he's on the left side.
Cork 6 - excellent first half. Went missing when we switched to 4-4-2
Westwood 6 - see Cork
JBG 5 - he may be left footed but he is NOT a left winger. He's our best right winger - play him there.
Hendrick 8 - easily our best player for the entire time he was on the pitch. Superb first half and beyond unlucky to be hooked. Should've scored with a big chance though.

Wood 5 - did ok and got no service but if he plays up there on his own his movement needs to improve as he doesn't have the strength of Vokes/Barnes.

Barnes 4 - the most ineffective i've ever seen him for us
Vokes 5 - only had a couple of crosses to attack in nearly half an hour

With Wood proving to be so poor recently a shame we didn't manage to secure the signing of Rodriguez.

Good God man. 10 goals in 19 games last season, on target already this season - had an illness and after two games in we should have replaced him with a £20m Championship striker

Not a case of getting a grip more like being realistic.

If you did a pole for the club who play the most un attractive football in the Premier league, we would win hands down.

I don't mind watching our style of play has long as we get results

Although Watford started like an express train and got a good goal, we quickly replied and were miles better in the first half. If Wood had better mobility and anticipation he'd have had 2 tap ins from excellent moves and crosses. We really should have been leading by the break. Second half is best forgotten, especially as being 3-1 down with around 40 minutes to play I assumed there was plenty of time and we'd put them under real pressure. How wrong I was. We were hopeless pretty much to a man and SD compounded things by hooking the one player who actually looked like he could spark something (Jeff). A real confidence basher ahead of some tough fixtures!

Hart 4 - pope and heaton would have saved at least 1 if not both of the 2nd and 3rd
Lowton 9 - some of them passes in the first half were just class
Tarks 7 - class player , however seems to dwindle just a little bit too long on the ball

Cork 9 ------Felt sorry for him and westwood , absolutely NO OPTIONS when they had the ball

Lennon 4 --- seems to pretend to want the ball , needs to actually show he does want it and come and get it
JBG 5 ----- lot off huff and puff but apart from the corner did nothing
Wood 2----- i know he didn't have the service , but when your not getting service at least try and win a few balls and try and hold the ball up . Won absolutely nothing . Always signalled for the ball to out out wide , never looked for a through ball in the channels

I dont get why when losing 3-1 there is absolutely NO urgency ? It was quite strange to see .

Thought gray for superb for them , real handful . A little lad probably around 6 was sat behind me , after around 80 minutes he just said to his dad " dad , watford are a lot better team than burnley arnt they" I think the little lad was spot on

He was on for a terrific score after 45 minutes, but you'd be hard pressed to give anyone a 9 over 90.
