The last time we played that badly.
Not much you can say about that second half performance. Let's hope it isn't the "Europa" effect.

Take out the 1st 3 mins (plus Lowts intercepted pass) of either half, thought we played well overall. Cant concede 3 goals so sloppily in any division let alone the prem

second half particularly, totally devoid of ideas, half asleep it appeared when it mattered, no guile, no quality, sluggish, and utterly inept.

We were woeful in the second half.

played well for the final 46 minutes of the game? Really? did we even have a shot at goal apart from the Vokes header?

Preston Nob End at home when we lost 2-0...
Mind you, we then went on a 23 unbeaten streak so who knows...

Not too much wrong with the first half, but the second was awful, no threat or penetration at all.

Re: We haven't played THAT badly since...
Second half as bad as I’ve seen for some time. Understandably shell shocked by the 2 goals but we didn’t compete for the rest of the half and I saw a lack of application and fight which is very rare for this side. Hopefully a one off.
Re: We haven't played THAT badly since...
Rubbish second half, poor defending then unable to put any pressure on Watford, all those wanting to lose this game and win on Thurs will be in dreamland now...

We did quite well first half, but the second half was up there with the very worst under Dyche.

If Manyoo lose at Brighton the media will be concentrating on the woes of Mourinho much to the relief of Dyche.

I thought we were terrible couldnt get hold of the ball again and didn't look like scoring , sloppy all over the pitch and lethargic.

Awful second half. It happens. We will learn from it.
Don’t get too disheartend when we lose or too carried away when we win.
On to the next one which if you haven’t noticed is in Athens. Who’d have believed it eh. What a time to be alive.

They wanted it more than us, and they bullied us all over the park. It was a reversal of the game in which we bullied them the other season, and Deeney was honest on camera afterwards. He’ll have been part of geeing them up today.
Probably West Brom 4-0 though.

Re: We haven't played THAT badly since...
Nobody so far has mentioned that Watford beat Brighton last weekend and now Brighton are thrashing Man U. Perhaps Watford are having a similar start to this season that we had last season. I have no doubts that there will be other bad days at the office for us this season.

Yes. I don’t think you’ve understood it. It was a hypothetical question.

Re: We haven't played THAT badly since...
What was worrying for me is the way we were carved open which hasnt happened in a long long time. I cant actually remember the last time we were carved open so easilly by a side outside the top 6.

Option A on the thread was win Thursday lose today and lots said option A, one particular poster said It 100 times, others went into great detail why they would be happy with that option, so dress it up any way you want they were happy for burnley to lose... You ask me why any fan would want us to lose, I'm sorry but I wouldn't know why perhaps you should ask them

So you genuinely think most people on that thread approached this game wanting us to get beat?

The only person today to really come away with any credit - tin hat on - was Hendrick.

Ask them, not me... It's the option they chose before the game...
Re: We haven't played THAT badly since...
Jesus Christ - it was an hypothetical question. Some people said they'd rather win on Thursday than today. That's all. It obviously doesn't mean they wanted or were happy for us to get beat ffs.

Arsenal away springs to mind but we have to be careful to nip this kind of performance in the bud.
It's all OK being more expansive but Dyche will be aware of the shortcomings and he'll act upon them.

Agree re Arsenal. That was way worse than today in that we didn’t turn up. Nothing like today where we played very well first half

I think if it was a question asking if your wife had complications in labour and you had the choice to save unborn child or mother - would the ones who said option A really want their wives to die?

6 games into the season and we haven't won in 90 minutes yet.
If I were Dyche I would be praying for the Europa league to kick our season off with a win.

Re: We haven't played THAT badly since...
The game was on our telly, we were acceptable in first half, second half we were nothing but abysmal. The names on the shirts were the same, but the energy had gone. Our defence was at sixes and sevens as though they’d never played together before……..pitiful performance. As for offence……..non-existent. Oh, Hart spilled one and lucky to escape with no damage.
Bottom line is we need to get this Europa League nonsense out of our system asap, and focus on what’s important to BFC……survival!
