McClaren sacked tomorrow?

Post by ecc » Tue Aug 21, 2018 9:47 pm

Another splendid result for QPR tonight.

Four straight defeats. Scored twice conceded thirteen.

Linked with a £5 million PL striker, on loan, possibly Wells.

They're really up the creek without a paddle down there.

Even if QPR punt him, some other daft chairman will hire him come January,or earlier once the merry-go-round starts :) can they afford to sack him with their FFP sanctions.

I have no sympathy for the club whatsoever. They cheated, spurned a lot of money and are now more or less broke.

Hoos must have had a hand in his appointment if only to show there's a bigger tosser then him in football.

Underwhelming appointment from the start.

QPR is a proper football club owned and run by folk who continue to make the poorest of decisions.

Perhaps the players cannot understand the pidgin Dutch.

It is a good football club absolutely, but they weren't questioning the consequences when we were battling with them in the Championship whilst their Italian owners were chucking millions at it! Reap what you sow here. I am truly hoping Brighton take the same path

I feel a bit sorry for McClaren. He’s not a bad manager at all. He knows a whole lot more about Football than most who post on here. He’s on a hiding to nothing at Loftus Road; gravity has finally caught up with QPR and they’re going down whoever is in charge.

Uncanny just how many football clubs that were managed by Harry Redknapp end up as complete financial basket cases.

I've always liked going to Loftus Road (despite the poor amenities at the away end) & have a couple of pals who are regulars there so I hope they can survive in The Championship or it may end up very badly if they start falling.
They've had a fair few very wealthy men involved over the past 20 years or so (Briatore, Eccleston, Lakshmi Mittal and Tony Fernandes) but none of them has been able to make a silk purse of the club & the managerial comings and goings dont seem to have helped.
There's been talk for a while of a ground move but it's difficult to see that happening (and would they be able to attract 30,000 fans anyway?). Very problematic.

Have a soft spot for QPR. Me and my friend, who was a Rangers fan, went to London in the 70'ies on a summer language/football school. We got to visit all the grounds in London, including Lofthus Road and that brought tears to my friends eyes.. We were 15 years that summer and sadly the only time he got close to his favorit club, he died just a few years later. UTC and super Hoops! :)

Because he's sh!te and I have always said so. Probably THE most over-rated manager of all time and yet whenever the England job came up there were always people saying 'give the job to 'Arry'. Utter rubbish.

Hi Lancaster,

"Uncanny just how many football clubs that were managed by Harry Redknapp end up as complete financial basket cases."

Pure coincidence, Lancaster, pure coincidence. ;)
