Shame.

Spent 5 years as a PoW in Vietnam. Could have been released earlier as a PoW in Vietnam because he was an Admiral's son but he turned it down and ended up spending 5 years as a prisoner. Gave his own supporters a dressing down during his Presidential campaign in 2008 when they started talking **** about Obama about how he's an Arab and as such scary and untrustworthy. And when he was presented with credible intelligence against his own party's Presidential candidate that suggests he's compromised he took it straight to the FBI when lesser people, more partisan people, would have buried it.

He was wrong a whole bunch of times and on the wrong side of a lot of issues but there's no questioning his loyalty to his county or his patriotism, and that he always wanted to do right by it.

Fine example of a man in every sense. Wrong side of the politic spectrum for me, but I’d have had no problem with him as a Republican President. He represented what a Republican could be.....

Whether you agreed with his politics or not, he was a person who stood by his principles and beliefs and there aren't enough politicians like that these days. He served his country well. RIP

He was bi-partisan, which is unusual in this day and age. His politics were extremely hawkish, which is understandable considering he was a graduate of the naval academy, but his social policies were somewhat left of centre.

Even dead, with a tumour in his brain, he’d make a better President than the utter balloon currently in Office.

That stadium in Scarborough (not sure if it's the new one or the old one) is/was named after the biggest frozen food manufacturer in Canada. The McCains and the Irvings own most of Atlantic Canada.

John McCain always spoke in complete sentences, something Donald Trump will never master.

And to think that Donald Trump had the unmitigated gall to rake John McCain over the coals for becoming a prisoner of war. Did he think that American flyers should have committed some form of hari kari?

It's still incredible to me that people still voted for him after that.

The entire problem with that is that he represents the American underclass. Education is not a priority to most Americans. Football is. Their universities exist largely so that their grads can cheer for the "varsity". How many fans of schools like Florida State actually attended the school. If your school's located in a place like Tallahassee, it's guaranteed that it's not many.

Am in Hanoi right now on holiday and had only Friday been looking at photos of John McCain in the prison (The “Hanoi Hilton”) where he was detained and which is now maintained as a museum. Astonishing coincidence to then read he has died. Interesting to read of his torture etc as the displays in the prison go to great lengths to emphasise how humane the conditions were for the American POWs!

The White House flag isn't at half mast for him. The pettiness of this president is amazing. This after he nixed a complimentary White House statement honouring him once he died.
I can't wait until another NFL player kneels and this piece of **** tries to accuse them of "dishonouring the military" again.

John ‘Songbird’ McCain Exposed By Vietnam Vets And POW’s As A Liar And A Fraud (Video)
"Veterans voice their disgust for John “Songbird” McCain who spilled his guts to get out of being tortured. There is evidence that McCain received ‘special’ medical treatment from a Soviet physician and other ‘considerations’ to avoid being tortured just so he could come home....

He voted against a bill that was otherwise unanimously passed that would have released sealed records that would have revealed what happened in Vietnam, presumably because those records would have confirmed his dishonorable actions......

McCain admits that three to four days after he was captured, he promised the Vietnamese, “I’ll give you military information if you will take me to the hospital.”....

I've never know anyone to wear as many tin foil hats as you do.

You are like a conspiracy version of Cleveleys clarets on football rumours he hears down the pub.

You believe everything out there, absolutely everything.

Fair play, at least you doing this means you aren't actually doing anything a lot worse.

Course, if I was the sort of person who reported people (I'm not) or the sort of person who actually bothered what weirdos on the internet say (again, not me) I'd be mortified.

As I'm not, I'll just continue to take the **** out of a complete wacko.

Republicans always buy their protesters. That's because their pockets are so deep and there's always some poor idiot out there who needs a few extra bucks in order to buy a cheap bottle of wine. What's your favourite rotgut, bluelabrador? And what part of Labrador do you come from?
