Newcastle

Post by Cleveleys_claret » Mon Aug 27, 2018 12:16 am

Looks like Rafa has fell out with Lascelles and Shelvey regards where he was intending on playing yhem today. Both questioned him and been suspended unofficially for 2 weeks.

Hopefully with these and Cardiff filling 2 of the relegation spots we will manage to stay up

Two more big time Charlie's in the prem. Shelvey is a dynamic class MF although gets away with a lot more than he should in my opinion.

There 2 best players. Nothing wrong with questioning the manager in my book. Wish we had Shelvey in the middle of our midfield.

Looking at our 2nd half premier league performances this season I can't see how any team can be worse than Burnley. We are dreadful and offer nothing but pumping the ball up field with a midfield that can't pick a pass or create a chance for our attackers.

Europe looks like being a step to far for us with our small weak squad. We keep tapering off 2nd half due to fatigue and the mental strains of all the travelling

He's making 6/7 changes in Europe so can't be fatigue, we just can't keel the ball or create anything. Third relegation spot is between us and Newcastle I'd say

No chance Newcastle will go down. The way we are playing at the moment Chelsea would have put 5 past us on the Turf. United home next I fear for us.

He might be making changes but the lads are still on the bench and travelling. It's the psychological effect on the squad also.
Deep down Dyche will be wanting out of the Europe, I certainly do

I thought Newcastle's performance against Chelsea was very good - defended well and looked a bit threatening up front - so Benitez's choices looked justified. They were unlucky to lose.

What makes anyone think Mark Hughes is good enough to get Southampton out of trouble?

You could see from the Newcastle player's reaction to the Chelsea goal that they are together and backing Rafa, if the two players mentioned above are suspended I think that will have consolidated the rest of the team.

Where has it come from that Benitez has fallen out with the pair of them?

Everything I’ve read or heard suggests that they’re both injured but will be back soon.

Have to say I'd love to see Shelvey trying (and most likely failing) to pick out our forwards with thoseb Hollywood passes! :D

Id just love a player who doesn't follow the rugby union rule of no forward passing

Could be fun. About the last player on SD's list?
