Bakary Sako anyone?
Not the daftest suggestion I’ve seen, given the very limited options available...

Re: Bakary Sako anyone?
The problem with Sako is match fitness,he could take a month or two to reach the level Sean will accept, his last competitive football was in February,we need players ready here and now.
Re: Bakary Sako anyone?
Been thinking this for a while.
Left footed powerful winger, Prem experience...
Exactly what we need.

Tore Bardsley apart away from home last year.

To me with the predicament we're in with regards to wide players, it's an absolute no brainer.

I think it is worth a punt personally. He is a good player and if on a free should be keen to sign where ever he can ie money may not be everything to him. It's Def worth a look.
Re: Bakary Sako anyone?
Which comes first? The Brady or the Sako?

He's been mad injured since tearing Bardsley a new hole.
Do you think Palace would have let him go with the info they had at their disposal thinking he would ever be the same player again?

Should fit right in then with the Burnley way.

If only someone could compile a list of available players, and forward it to BFC.
They could then arrest this horrific start to the season.

If it isn't a factor I'm sure he wouldn't be a 'free agent'.mybloodisclaret wrote:ie money may not be everything to him.
Not a dig at you, just my interpretation of every one of them out there!

Re: Bakary Sako anyone?
Worth a call to see what he's expecting, and say yay or nay from there. For all we know that's already been done and ruled out
Re: Bakary Sako anyone?
He was suggested as an option by a few of us back in July when he rejected his contract at Palace. It was a no brainier at the time in my opinion. To have had him in preseason would have taken the pressure off JBG after his return from the WC... and would obviously have given us an extra option out wide whilst Brady got to fitness. The issue now is Sako's own fitness. If we signed him now we wouldn't see him until November at the earliest.

Re: Bakary Sako anyone?
If he rejected a contract that doesn’t sound like a player with injury concerns. He’d have snaffled the first one put in front of him if that were the case.jlup1980 wrote:He was suggested as an option by a few of us back in July when he rejected his contract at Palace. Re: Bakary Sako anyone?
The only pertinent question is `would he be a good influence in the dressing room?`
Re: Bakary Sako anyone?
I don't know why we are even bothering to discuss this. SD will not sign any out of contract players so we'll just have to wait till January and hope it's not too late.

Re: Bakary Sako anyone?
January probably won't be too late but it WILL be too expensive.
In the January window you are always asked to pay more than a player is really worth which is a no no as far as the Burnley board are concerned.
