MIGHTY CLARETS v Greeksbearinggifts

Post by IanMcL » Thu Aug 30, 2018 6:37 pm

Still an hour away. Traffic horrendous.

I leave you with our Madge, to get everyone fired up and right behind the lads.

Come on you Clarets. We can do this with crowd help.

At least we will have 2 wingers starting. Have to say we are not taking it seriously. Not too ****** off tbh. However, a win would do us good even if we go out. Still think it is a mistake not to play lowton and tarks. Needs to be a settled back 5 game after game.

The only real surprise there, is McNeil. The rest is mixed of first teamers and squad players with an eye on the Premier League. Sensible.

I have to say I'm not buoyed with optimism, either.

I'm also starting to come to grips with the fact that we aren't going to be the team we remember from last year until we get Defour and Brady back. I think we'll still finish lower-mid table in the PL, but it may not be the most fun ride to get there.

Lads are really up for it...was talking to a club official 30 mins ago....they have a light meal at the Turf and he said they were all buzzing.
I got a good feeling IF we get behind the team

The team is fine.
Great keeper
Bardsley and Long have been fine. Mee is Mee. First choice. Ward is first choice.
Lennon plays every week. Westwood and Hendrick play every week. McNeil might add something different. Barnes and Vokes for the early goal and pound them.
Plenty to being on too.

Come on you Clarets.

Can't understand this fuss about the early goal. 88m & 89m will do for me.
Score early they are more likely to come after us.

Yep. We only need a 2-0. It's not like we need 4, like we did against Spurs.

I like the look of this team.
A strong defence, admittedly won't get forward like Lowton & Ward, but that's good, won't leave us open.
Barnes & Vokes up front will win everything in the air.

I'm hopeful and think we are up for this match.
