Heaton
Heaton
It was fantastic to see Heaton getting back to his best tonight. His distribution was great and his positioning was what we are used to. I hope he plays Sunday.

Re: Heaton
I thought his kicking was a long way off what Hart's is, but his organisation and other aspects of his game were very good.
Re: Heaton
Was very good but hart hasn’t done anything to make him lose the shirt unfortunately

Re: Heaton
Time for a consistent eleven. Some big decisions to be made but hopefully they start with Heaton starting in goal and Taylor at left back.

Hard when you’re back up centre back one week, left back the next week and winger the week after. He’s been totally thrown under the bus. He was excellent second half tonight.piston broke wrote:Taylor was dreadful first half and much improved second. I’m yet to be impressed with him.

Hart hasn't done too much wrong but I just feel better with Heaton in goal, possibly just because of how familiar it feels.

Re: Heaton
Agree, as much as I've been a fan of Ward I don't think he's been at his best for a while. I think it's a matter of when rather than if Taylor replaces him and I think with a run of games at left back Taylor is the future for us in that position.MDWat wrote:Hard when you’re back up centre back one week, left back the next week and winger the week after. Re: Heaton
I have totally missed the Heaton cries of "get out, get up" he was none stopnorgsnising his defence and we need that

Think Hart would have been informed by SD that Heats would be favourite to return when fit.

Ward is the best left back we have and fortunately Dyche knows this and will start him on Sunday

That's some exaggeration.MDWat wrote:Hard when you’re back up centre back one week, left back the next week and winger the week after. He’s been totally thrown under the bus. He was excellent second half tonight.
Re: Heaton
I see your point and agree to an extent, he was good 2nd half and going forward offers much more than Ward. No doubt he will replace Ward at some stage but just feel there's more errors at the moment from Taylor. Defensively Ward is more reliable I feel, it's a close call though.MDWat wrote:Hard when you’re back up centre back one week, left back the next week and winger the week after. Re: Heaton
At the moment possibly, but I'm sure Dyche bought Taylor with a view to him replacing Ward for the long term. Certainly offers more going forward for me, and I think he'd become more consistent defensively with more games under his belt.Hibsclaret wrote:Ward is the best left back we have and fortunately Dyche knows this and will start him on Sunday

Don't think this is the case anymore. Ward has been poor so far this season and is at an age now where he is only going to go one way. We didn't miss him at all tonight.Hibsclaret wrote:Ward is the best left back we have and fortunately Dyche knows this and will start him on Sunday

Heaton was always first choice for me between he and pope. And he looks to be over his injury and confident. But I dont think Hart has let us down yet.

Re: Heaton
I still think Hart could have done better on the crucial 2nd at Fulham and he was lucky to get away with one he spilled against Watford.
I can only remember one mistake all last season for Pope to put it into context.
In terms of Heaton he fills you with more confidence ala Pope

It's quite a surreal situation to be in in all honesty, arguing between who's the best out of 3 very, very good 'keepers!

Re: Heaton
Pope is the better of the three in my opinion his command of the box and the pressure he releases when taking crosses helps our defense. Of the other two Heaton is far superior than Hart. He organises the defense better than Hart and has the best hands ive ever seen from a keeper. What a good conundrum for Dyche to have. UTC

The throw out to over the half way line when trying to release us on the break is something i have not seen from Heaton before but it was precise and damn good to see.

Re: Heaton
Heaton has outperformed Hart for years now, and for my money Hart was partly to blame for both of Mitrovic's goals on Sunday. Will be gutted if Heaton doesn't start Sunday, he's a much better keeper.

Re: Heaton
One attribute that Heaton possesses, that I had not fully recognised until last night, was how quick over the ground he was. When in a race to the ball to the edge of or outside the penalty area, he was lightning fast.

Re: Heaton
I'd go 5-2-1-2
The full backs can push on to form a 5 in midfield when required and it allows Vydra to play in his favoured position and it means that Wood will have someone up top to help him out
Heaton
Tarka Mee Gibson
Lowton Taylor
Hendrick Cork
Vydra
Wood Barnes
Or something like that

Re: Heaton
Heaton is our best ‘keeper. His starting position, decision making, command of the defensive unit are all more important and more than compensation for the 1 advantage Pope has, which is height.
Hart is a busted flush as far as I can see, but could prove me either wrong, or useful as motivation for our other two ‘keepers.
Lindegard clearly commands little or no respect or has any understanding with the back 4, which was evident when Ben Mee ballsed up from a corner but berated him without response.
