Bardsley should have been applying pressure from behind too. Collective failure, any one of the 4 could have done better.
Let grab a goal, UTC!

Wood struggling on his own up front. He can't outrun the two center halves

We are playing Manchester United - have you seen their midfield? You don't play 4 across when you're up against that quality. You put 5 across and bulk it up. Correct decision.
without wanting to come across as a knob cause that's not my intention - 5 across midfield leaving Wood so isolated simply isn't working

Good save Hart, but we gotta stop standing off and letting them pick the passes.

Let's not start making a scapegoat of Hart, eh?
It happened at Fulham and already again today. The goals he's been blamed for recently needed defending better....Stop the cross and mark the man

Agree Wood on his own just doesn't work. We have zero shots so far.

Not seen any negativity, people just commenting on how are tactics aren't working. If you can let us know how many games into the season we are allowed to pass a comment that would be usefull. Its far more toxic to follow blindly

Brighton hardly gave them an inch, we are giving them 8 yards on every pass.

Cant help but feel Heston or Pope would have come out to meet that... crosses to the 6-8 yard zone have always been a Hart weakness

Clear as day for every person in the stadium except for one. We clear the ball and Wood is isolated so they just retake possession and constantly reapply pressure. Stop with one up front for god sake.

Vegas Claret wrote:Guess you didn't read all my posts about how McNeil should be starting after the Olympiakos game etc then. I was commenting on what someone else had put, I also said during the week that Matic and Fellani would start as they always do against Burnley. One of them will sit on Wood at every goal kick and we wont get out of our own half with just Wood on his own if previous games are anything to go by. I hope I'm wrong, I'm delighted DM starts for sure.
and to think I got criticised for this

Fellaini has wood in his pocket . It's our defence thats surprising . What's different ? No ward or Heaton? We look slow and unsure.

Hard to be optimistic right now.
Although, my uncle’s, neighbor’s four year-old saw Defour and Brady mud wrestling on Friday, so they must be close!

Oldest squad in the premier league and its showing, lack of energy, we can't close them down and giving them far to much space.

Pretty much this. Also not sure why we are giving them so much respect and time to pick their passes. Been too easy for Shaw to domimate on that left wing.
