The minute we change to 2 big lads up top De Gea had to make a save, he's now made 2 or 3, Vokes missed another free header and Vydra just headed over. Before that we didn't have an attempt on goal. It's not that we lose it's how we lose and Dyche isn't giving us a chance
I have to agree. Their defence has looked shaky in previous games and we should have set ourselves up to put them under pressure from the start. However, we showed them far to much respect (Mourinho must be happy).

We went with the more defensive 1 up front option so all they had to do to render us impotent was cancel out Wood with Fellini +1 other. I felt for Wood today because he was set up to have a bad game. He did nothing wrong, he just didn't have the chance to do anything to affect the game. The way he was constantly being grabbed and held was annoying as well.

Dyche and the tactical team get a 5 for today, must do better. We are becoming predictable and that is dangerous.

Working on another formation in training that we can use to mix things up has to be worth considering.

Hart seemed to blossom in confidence after the penalty save. Hopefully it will serve as a touch paper for even better performances, because he still has more to give. He needs to stop chewing gum as well, splitting your concentration between two activities is never a good idea.

McNeil had another good game, defnitely putting a stamp on his first team credentials.

We were effective in midweek with a 442 because we weren't playing a midfield of Pogba, Matic, Lingaard and Fellaini. After so many games in a short period, it's fair to say Dyche thought we'd need the bodies in midfield. As it was, we were lacking a lot of energy off the ball which is not suprising, but when we couldn't press them the game was going to be very difficult. Against the big teams we need to be nigh on perfect off the ball. Who's to say we wouldn't be 3-0 at half time in a 442 because lingaad had the freedom of the pitch? You're being very selective about what impact certain changes would've had without considering the consequence at the other end.
