Re: Defour
Clarets Turf only posts p1ssed, doesn’t he? And far too much negativity to be a fan.

Re: Defour
Back soon according to Alastair Campbell. I can’t find it but my wife said that she’d seen it somewhere on his site.

Ok then per season. And not several in my book.Claretto wrote:You don't think 10 falls within 'several'?

Got it on very good authority that he’s playing a game behind closed doors within next few days

A game of guess the injury or snakes and ladders?clive40golf wrote:Got it on very good authority that he’s playing a game behind closed doors within next few days
Brady has been meaning to play in games for a while now.
Let's hope all those chips, chocolate and waffles he had during his injury assessment period of a couple of months pulls off.
He'd get a faster diagnoses in Burnley general.

He’s meant to be very close to making the squad for wolves and the game is a final run out. ( lose some of the “chip fat”)

I find that very difficult to believe. He's had no pre season, must be miles behindclive40golf wrote:

the other players in terms of fitness, so don't think he's that close. (Love to be proved wrong, though, cos we need him.)
Think he's more chance of making the home game against Wolves.

Bloody hell, if Brady is behind Defour now I'm assuming the tweak he picked up means he is waiting on an artificial leg to be fitted now then?

Defour was slightly behind Brady before the break so Brady must of picked up another niggleclaretcarrot93 wrote:Dyche has said just now he will be getting games next week. Brady slightly behind.

Strange one, all of a sudden Brady is behind Defour fitness wise...couldn't make it up...and Gibson's crocked by the sounds.

Did he say he was 45 minutes away and then it turned out he was actually just making it up?dermotdermot wrote:Back soon according to Alastair Campbell. I can’t find it but my wife said that she’d seen it somewhere on his site.

Re: Defour
That's good money and a good deal if you can get it, but with our record of signing injured/crocked players it wouldn't be a total surprise tbh. Wells and Walters both got (very good) deals whilst in no fit state to play and that's only the very recent ones. Having said that, I do sincerely hope Defour is fit and back playing soon as we desperately need him, but my fear is we won't see an awful lot of him and very few 90 minute games.Rileybobs wrote:Apparently he’s signed a one year extension to his injury.

even 15 games a season Defour is better than no Defour, desperately need him fit and playing again ASAP!

Re: Defour
That's true however we still need somebody to play in the other 20+ games, hope the board/management don't use Defour's new contract as justification for not adding another midfielder either in January or next summer.Giftonsnoidea wrote:even 15 games a season Defour is better than no Defour, desperately need him fit and playing again ASAP!
Re: Defour
From 21st Aug
Brady is now back in training on the grass though as he looks to get back to full fitness.
But Belgian midfielder Steven Defour is still 'a few weeks' behind Brady, according to Sean Dyche.
Why not just say, won't be back till Xmas...stop all the pretence

Played 90m 12 times in the PL last season. That's not several in your book? Your book sounds strange.Stayingup wrote:Ok then per season. And not several in my book.

Re: Defour
He was fantastic in the game yesterday. Showed his class. Ran his socks off. Made tackles. Moved the ball fast. Played some great long passes. Always available. Everywhere on the pitch. A real maestro performance and everything the first team misses... Although at u23 level. Poor Bolton didn't know what hit em.
Well actually they did, Koiki hit them, literally.
What I liked to see was how involved he was with some of the young lads. No massive ego, talking to them on the pitch and checking they were okay when down injured.
He played 60mins.
