Padiham

Who’s off to watch this afternoon? Expecting a few clarets attending considering the half price admission offer.

There’s live music in the clubhouse after the game as well, forget the name of the band but they’re pretty good by all accounts.

. thinks it’s quite often half price at Padiham if people produce a Burnley season ticket at the gate. He’s not sure if it helps with the attendances a great deal usually but the inclusion of Fowler might tempt a few down. He expects a bigger gate than normal as a lot of the kids teams are attending along with their parents.

Quickenthetempo thinks it's a shame the rain will stop the cricket today as it's always a good time when you include both the football and cricket at the Arbories.

. thinks the football club chairman will be pleased that the cricket is off - the cricket players are now attending the football.

Went to this one and Colne played well, looked a threat going forward and deservedly won in the end.

I was on Turf Moor in 1983 (John Bond era) when we beat Hyde United 2-0 in the fa Cup first round.

Another anomily about that game we were actually drawn away but the fixture was reversed due to Hyde”s ground not being suitable. We played ont Turf in our all yellow away kit.

I will bore off now..
