I noticed that too, there’s having pride in your achievements and there’s showing off and I’m afraid he’s showing off in this case.kaptin1 wrote:Farah running in the Great North Run with “Sir Mo” plastered across his front. Brilliant athlete, but this just makes me cringe!!

You would need a big head forcricketfieldclarets wrote:Id get it tatooed on my face if i was him. Fair play to the lad.
Theres a lot of high paid Footballers who aren't so good at what they doSpijed wrote:And gets very well paid too.
No different from footballers who are good at what they do.
No. Some young kid arrives in the UK, grows up with "no advantages" - except he can run. Of course we should all celebrate that Mo Farah has represented his country with so much success - and "Sir Mo" has every right to say thank you and to recognise his pride in the country's pride in his success.kaptin1 wrote:Farah running in the Great North Run with “Sir Mo” plastered across his front. I had to look twice then... I thought, "Is it the 9th today!?"Bosscat wrote:Is that about the Sir David or Victoria Lady Beckham

Cleveleys_claret wrote:Not a fan of his. Like many other athletes he has missed drugs tests on regular occasions. Only uses this country to feed his ego. Horrible racist wife who has a massive sense of entitlement.
Every time I ran the GNR, the process asks what you would like on your number, Christian name, Surname or other. Maybe they were asked out of courtesy and they chose theirs.Ashingtonclaret46 wrote:Of course they both made their own numbers with those titles

He moved to the UK aged 8 and has a British father you donut.Cleveleys_claret wrote:Not a fan of his. Like many other athletes he has missed drugs tests on regular occasions. Only uses this country to feed his ego. Horrible racist wife who has a massive sense of entitlement.
God I hate it when people let facts get in the way of some good old fashioned racismRileybobs wrote:He moved to the UK aged 8 and has a British father you donut.
I'm a brexit voter but it's still a load of nonsense. as to what point the op is trying to make,a twinge of jealously over Mo's outstanding achievements perhaps.DefourFiveSix wrote:Defo a Brexit voter. What a load of nonsense

I know absolutely nothing of his wife.tim_noone wrote:And his wife?
I am remain I just dont like Mo Farah. His attitude stinks and if you ever have watched athletics you will know they call Haile Gebrslassie the gentleman of athletics. Below is what happened at his hotel when Mo decided to visitDefourFiveSix wrote:Defo a Brexit voter. What a load of nonsense
Where have I said anything about him not being British? He doesnt reside here often and is akin to Lewis Hamilton in being British but not really living here. Fair play to him that he is milking the cash cow whilst he can but my views on him are as a person. A person I believe to be a drug cheat and somebody that knows how to play the media to his advantageRileybobs wrote:He moved to the UK aged 8 and has a British father you donut.
“Only uses this country to feed his ego”. How’s that then? How should he use his country? Why does it matter where he lives?Cleveleys_claret wrote:Where have I said anything about him not being British? Well he should fund his own training camps if the ones supplied by the our athletics committee arent up to his standards. No other athlete is allowed to do it. We have many athletes living on next to nothing and leaving the sport they love because of funding problems but we can fund Sir Mo and his huge entourage to live in America. Training in places like Somalia and Ethopia also where he knows he can not be randomly drug tested as often as he should beRileybobs wrote:“Only uses this country to feed his ego”. How’s that then? Treading on dangerous ground aren’t you? Accusing him of being a drugs cheat.Cleveleys_claret wrote:Well he should fund his own training camps if the ones supplied by the our athletics committee arent up to his standards. He lives in London as does his family, he just trains and competes around the world you absolute helmet....Cleveleys_claret wrote:Where have I said anything about him not being British? He's won enough medals and broke enough records to show his training camps/methods are better.Cleveleys_claret wrote:Well he should fund his own training camps if the ones supplied by the our athletics committee arent up to his standards. Well if any other sportsperson missed 5 drugs tests what else would they be labelled as.Rileybobs wrote:Treading on dangerous ground aren’t you? Accusing him of being a drugs cheat.
Flymo would have been better..kaptin1 wrote:Farah running in the Great North Run with “Sir Mo” plastered across his front. Brilliant athlete, but this just makes me cringe!!
I am not disputing whether they are better, they obviously are. But rules should be rules.otherwise every athlete would do their own thing and bill the athletics commision for their expenses.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote:He's won enough medals and broke enough records to show his training camps/methods are better.
Plus the best long distance runners are usually from that part of Africa, their genetics actually give them an advantage for starters incase you aren't aware, so training there will also help him.
When he was a full time olympian he resided in OregonGodIsADeeJay81 wrote:He lives in London as does his family, he just trains and competes around the world you absolute helmet....
We get you don't like him, but you're just spouting utter ******** now.
So you are saying he is gulty by association. I'm sure that you must have proof from somewhere to be making such accusations.Cleveleys_claret wrote:Well if any other sportsperson missed 5 drugs tests what else would they be labelled as.
Rio Ferdianand missed one and got banned for 9 months
Hamzee Driouch (?) was also his training partner in 2015 although he had been banned for 2 years in 2014 for doping and was banned from taking part in any form of athletics including training.
He had hired a banned athlete as a training partner.Ashingtonclaret46 wrote:So you are saying he is gulty by association. I'm sure that you must have proof from somewhere to be making such accusations.
You're clearly on a wind up now talking about 2 medals.Cleveleys_claret wrote:I am not disputing whether they are better, they obviously are. But rules should be rules.otherwise every athlete would do their own thing and bill the athletics commision for their expenses.
At the end of the day all that funding for 2 medals?
