Lenny Johnrose Fundraising Golf Day

Post by tybfc » Thu Sep 13, 2018 11:36 am

As many of you will know our former player Lenny Johnrose is not very well as you will see from the link below.

Lenny, and some of his friends have organised a golf day next month at Ashton & Lea golf club in Preston and are looking for teams and people to sponsor this event.

Please help all that you can on the Just Giving page.

In answer to your question Leisure it is £40 per person for a team of four so £160 per team.

An informal day so no need for jacket and tie just smart casual wear.

The cost includes the golf and a three course meal afterwards and all for a very good cause.

Link to the course below.

I played it once and it was very nice if I remember rightly.

TY - I'm happy to pay for an Accy Clarets team. Can you ask Col if he's up for it?

Leisure - Colin is already playing on a golf day elsewhere that day so has had to offer his apologies.

Leisure - Team of 4 sorted out and should storm it if they play the game as well as they talk it.

Two of them could still be in Athens 1 in the nick and 1 in hospital had they not had a calming influence around them.

Hi TY - is there a cut off date for confirming a team ?
I’m just talking to a couple of people about entering a team and they just need to check dates with work etc.
Cheers
(Great cause btw - loved Lenny J as a player for us)

The Golf Day is now upon us and is happening later today.

TVC15 - I apologise for not replying to your post which I completely missed.

Good luck to the four Accy Clarets who are taking part in this and make sure that you bring the silverware home with you.

A massive thanks to Leisure for supporting the event and it goes without saying that it is for a tremendous but sad cause.

I hope that everybody has a great day and at least the weather is set fair.

Well done to the Accy Clarets sponsored team that came a more than respectable second place in the golf day today.

Again a massive thanks to Leisure and Accy Clarets for sponsoring the team all of whom were Burnley fans and use the supporters club.

Good luck to Lenny and those fundraising for the horrible disease.

No problem tybfc - I managed to get a team in anyway and it was a very enjoyable day.
We got 86 points so didn’t do too bad.
It was tough seeing Lenny and quite emotional when we were getting the photo on the 1st tee and clapping him.

Good to see Clark Carlisle looking well.
Even better seeing John McGinley looking overweight, old and very out of shape !!!
