A Date On Sunday
A Date On Sunday
So....I have had 3 dates with a girl and now she fancies something to eat on Sunday (Carvary pref) now, this is obviously an issue with our game being on, does anyone know anywhere where I could do both? She's aware that I want to watch the game!
Mind you, she might not be interested after seeing me knee slide accross the bar when Ash puts one in the top bin in the 91st.

Re: A Date On Sunday
taking her for a carvery and watching football. sounds a classy girl there pal.
Re: A Date On Sunday
if she fancies something to eat you need to have a word.
she has two options.
A) you take her to Wolves, day out, fine Black country cuisine and ale etc
B) She cooks you Sunday Lunch and you watch it on Sky
My vote is get your arses to Wolves and don't be so damn lazy!

Re: A Date On Sunday
A Sunday Carvery isn't the type of thing I would like to do with a girl I have just met.
Best thing to do is get a double date going with her mate and fella to the pub first to watch football, she will have people to talk to and you will get to see most of the game.
Then go to somewhere like Nines in Padiham. A new pizza bistro place that looks very nice in the centre.
Carvery's are full of not so well behaved families on Sunday afternoons.

You cant let here dictate when you watch Burnley. You let her do it this once, then what happens in 4 years? You’ll have a season ticket for a bloody muesli convention instead.

Take her to a pub with the footy on and tell her cos you're a gentleman you'll treat her to a bag of crisps or pork scratchings, her choice.

Re: A Date On Sunday
Burnley comes first. Let her dictate if or when you watch this early then you are doomed if you marry her. FFS 4th date you should be at Molineux with the lads.
Re: A Date On Sunday
Ask her to invite her sister so she has someone to talk to while the match is on , have your carvary , then back home , foolproofEyres_11 wrote:So....I have had 3 dates with a girl and now she fancies something to eat on Sunday (Carvary pref) now, this is obviously an issue with our game being on, does anyone know anywhere where I could do both? Mind you, she might not be interested after seeing me knee slide accross the bar when Ash puts one in the top bin in the 91st.

Re: A Date On Sunday
Is “Sunday carvery” now a euphemism? If not, you need to be setting a precedent right now.
You must NEVER compromise on your football time. NEVER, EVER. Whichever day footy is on isn’t to be messed with for ANY reason. Nip round after the footy to “drop off the gravy” by all means, but footy is footy. Get your **** together.

I had heard good things about sycamore, but I may give it a swerve now , many moons ago we used to do the rose and bowl for a carvery that was always really good , do they have sky sports for the soft lad , his girlfriend and little un !Rick_Muller wrote:It’s also out if you like food...
Re: A Date On Sunday
Sandwich or pie before the football. Watch the football and then celebrate with the carvery. You have a clear afternoon to do your stuff. Food should not get in the way of the footie.

Re: A Date On Sunday
When it first opened I personally thought it was superb for value but good food. Trouble is, over time, the quality has dropped and you get better quality in a Toby or Crown carvery. The puddings would be the saving grace if they weren’t far too big.Ooogeorgeorgeoghani wrote:I had heard good things about sycamore, but I may give it a swerve now , many moons ago we used to do the rose and bowl for a carvery that was always really good , do they have sky sports for the soft lad , his girlfriend and little un !
