Christ. It’s always the ones you actually need. No chance Bardo is picking up a knock anytime soon.

Awful performance so far both attacking and defensively. They have opened us up far too many times and if it wasn't for Joe Hart they would be 2 up by now. We offer nothing going forward. How has McNeil been dropped from the squad whilst Lennon still starts? He offers us nothing. Long hard season this is going to be.

Back to the wall stuff.
Our limitations really are being exposed big style.
Still, half way through and we're still in it!

Great half from Joe!

half time rollocking for Barnes, Vokes and Lennon - give them 10 mins in the second half then bring Wood on for Barnes who has been so off the pace it's untrue

Very very poor.

Taylor and Bardsley being owned. Front two anonymous. Not played through them once.

The bright spot - Hart magnificent. Heaton and Pope are great but if they played here we would be behind.

He has been very quiet, but just watched him take two on in the box and whip the ball across. Granted, nothing came of it.

The first sub I would make is to bring Vydra on. We need him match fit and starting - it's that simple.

Get him and Defour into the starting 11 and I guarantee you, we'll look a completely different side.

Think we need to bring Lennon on in 2nd half as our right winger was non existent in the 1st half.

I thought it was a good half. Yes we're under the cosh, but 45 with a good Hart performance and no goals conceded is a decent platform for confidence building hopefully we can step it up a little in the second.

I just dont see what Lennon is offering anymore. He always drifts in to the centre of the field giving no out ball, and when he does get the ball runs back to our goal, and i know he is vertically challenged but at least give the bloke your up against in the air something to thin about. McNeil every day of the week for me.

Our two strikers are getting occupied by the 3 centre halves when we launch it, and we evidently don’t have the wingers to create chances from out wide.

Vydra on for Vokes, Lennon pushed further wide instead of this drifting in nonsense.

I do not blame Lennon he being played very narrow against a back 3 ?? I do not get the logic i understand tucking in at the back but going forward he playing to narrow.

This is worrying as was hoping for a better performance
today but it sounds as if we're being played off the park and Hart has kept us in it.
Not sure changes would help but it does sound as if we need to bring
on one or two relatively early on (rather than with 10 mins to go when we're behind)
and hope we can improve in the second half.

Absolutely dull just as the starting 11 suggested it would be.

Get Vydra/Wood and Lowton on ASAP.

It’s been a feature for as long as Dyche has been here. I understood it with Arfield, but Lennon is purely a winger. It makes zero sense.

that 1st half could only be disguised as GASH!!

A team full of has beens, workhorses and old skool; unfortunately, the game of football has moved on Sean. We started to evolve last season but gone backwards & back to the way we played 3 years ago.
If Taylor is the future then god help us.

I would bring Vydra on, thinking further ahead than just this game. He needs more minutes. But how often does SD make half time subs?

Playing with 10 men. Lennon first touch of ball was after 17.20 minutes. He looks like a lost soul. Watched Wood in warm up and on bench he looks totally disinterested. Tarks distribution is awful. Our style of play is light years behind and this display is that of a team trying to escape relegation. Pre match comments on NBCSN were that Burnley still have the thinking of a Championship team and are still signing Championship players. Marriner seems very pro Wolves and I think the slightest touch in our box and he will give a penalty. Bardsley needs replacing before he sees red. Only Hart keeping us in the game and poor finishing by Wolves

If we bring Vydra on and he makes the probing runs we sadly lack who is going to suply the killer pass, we are totally bland as an attacking force

That's because our best front 2 is going to be Vydra and Wood. Wood needs proper support - which he'll get from Vydra. I can't see them both coming on, but it has to be our starting 2 in the VERY near future.

Not sure why Lennon is getting criticised so much, we've been toothless full stop. The long balls into Barnes and vokes have been aimless, so we've had no second balls in their third to get it wide in dangerous areas. In fact the one bit of good attacking play was from Lennon when he beat his man and dug out a cross.
