If we fail to get a win in the next few games
Dyche should be in danger of losing his job. This is not anywhere near good enough.

West Ham will probably improve so as it stands I think Newcastle, Huddersfield, Cardiff and ourselves will be the scrappers.
Brighton look a bit better than their position suggests.
As it stands right now, I’m just hoping that we can pick up enough points before the window to give ourselves a fighting chance before bringing in some new additions in January.
It is fair to hope though that Brady and Defour coming back will make a difference.

Is there any greater statement about the paucity of our resources than needing a goal with 10 mins to go and bringing Ashley Westwood on????

Agree but that wont happen. They need 800 behind closed doors game to get the mystical "Dyche fit"FactualFrank wrote:Cardiff, Huddersfield and us are the 3 worst teams in the Premier League, currently. Getting Defour and Brady back within the next 2-3 games is our only chance.

Bardsley should not play for us again after this, clearly done at this level as if any of us needed that confirming.
Arguably should have been sent off there.

Got away with another there.
We just look utterly shell-shocked.
One of the most 'un-Burnley' like performances since...well, our last game.

Hasn’t got a tackle in it let alone desire. Let’s be honest about it - they don’t look bothered do they? Nobody’s busting a guy here at all to try and dig us a goal out.

But when will they be back. None have started their games programme yet. And anytime one gets close they have another niggling injury. We cant keep planning on injured players coming back. Its what we did in the transfer window to stop us spending any money.DCWat wrote:West Ham will probably improve so as it stands I think Newcastle, Huddersfield, Cardiff and ourselves will be the scrappers.

The tide is very slowly turning against the board and Dyche. I see it on the terraces. Just the odd extra voice of discontent from people you sit near who never have a bad word to say about the club. Also in posts/ articles by people like Claret Tony. The frustration is building
Re: Wolves Portuguese Imports v MIGHTY CLARETS
Just looking at results since Dyche signed his 5 year contract, 5 wins out of 19 in Premier League if this result stands. Has the long term contract rather rolling 1 year contract brought about an element of complacency in Dyche?

All aboard the Championship train....
I’d be less pessimistic if our performances showed something positive, but we are so poor with and without the ball this season.
It’s going to be a long season based on the first 5 games.

We did nothing in the first half, now we’re hanging on in the hope of sealing a narrow defeat.
We’re not going to win every game, granted, but we need to try something different.

Probably sick of being told to stick to the same rigid formation. Back in places, play the percentages, hit it long and lose possession so we can get our shape back rather than take a risk.jedi_master wrote:Is this team capable of fighting?

I think Dyche would be better off walking away now with his reputation intact, he will never be nearer the top of the management pyramid than he is now. Better to go now than add another relegation to his CV. Hopefully he will get a job where the Chairman backs the manager.Right_winger wrote:If we fail to get a win in the next few games

Don’t disagree, Cleveleys. I was one who was very disappointed with our lack of transfer business. There seemed to be some perception that we’d suddenly become an established premier league side.Cleveleys_claret wrote:But when will they be back. None have started their games programme yet. Our current issues all hark back to the summer. Whether that was Dyche, The Board, Recruitment, Scouting, I haven’t a clue but whatever it was we need to have all our ducks in a row come January and hope that we’ve enough to keep pace between now and then.
