I'm not expecting much tbh but we have to put in a proper Burnley performance today like we saw for most of last season. Last season I would have been confident of at least a point

That's because we don't have a bottomless pit of money like the majority of the Premier League have. Throw 90k a week at players and we'd have players with more technique. It is what it is. Wolves are reportedly paying their new signings close to 100k a week. It's like editing the player ratings on Championship Manager.

Sorry I don’t buy the finance excise anymore. We are one of the richest clubs in world football. It’s the players we target.

We have the least technical players in the division by some distance

It doesn't work like that. We get the TV money like every other Premier League club gets. But 120 million or whatever it is, is peanuts to a lot of the chairmen. It's down the back of the sofa stuff. Our board don't have the finances that the rest of the Premier League have. They can throw 100 million at players in a season no problem. We have to think about the possibility of going down and losing the TV money. Other clubs like Wolves don't need to plan for that.

A massive difference.

Look at the costs of this:
12 players at £80,000 pw
12 players at £50,000 pw
Management and coaching staff

That's most of the TV money spent.

It’s gone wrong because we cannot keep a hold of the ball. It’s like there’s a couple of divisions difference in quality here.

Looks a matter of when, not if they'll score. Hart having an excellent game. I would get Bardsley off, has red card written allover him today. Would like to see Vydra sooner than later. Lack of pace is all too clear to see going forward and the Wolves defenders seem comfortable with Barnes/Vokes and the long ball.

It’s like we’ve forgotten that last season ever happened and have gone back to playing like we did in 2016/17.

If it wasn’t for Hart we’d have lost this game already.

Would be very surprised if we end the game with 11. We are so far behind them that we have to give fouls away.

I love Barnes but his falling over isn't working today, we've not had a single set piece so far. He needs to stay on his feet and try and hold the ball up
