Poor following today

Post by cricketfieldclarets » Sun Sep 16, 2018 2:26 pm

So everyone wanted to drop out of tbe europa to focus on the league. So why the empty seats all over? Very poor

Happy with performance though. Containing them well and Hart top class again.

Think Lowton, Vydra and Wood will make a huge difference second half.

I have decided not to spend any more money travelling with Burnley until something happens with the board. Lack of investment is shocking and is going to see us relegated this year. Will still go on home games as I have my season ticket but that is it.

Before anyone says my money doesnt matter to the club I am not saying it does. It is just I am sick of spending my hard earned cash watching tepid boring football, and a board and manager that do not care whether we are in the top flight or not

Second half was shambolic.

Defensively fine both halves. In front of thems a huge problem.

It’s hard creating an atmosphere away with us now. Certain people would rather sit down at all costs and not make a sound.

Frustrating thing is I think we all knew it would happen, you have to bully the promoted sides, they made us look like we didn’t belong in the premier league

Love to see you say that in the Nord.

Really? A Burnley fan trying to take the **** out of Inter Milan?

We’re a footnote compared to the legacy they’ve left on European Football.

Like it or not, the atmosphere benefits from not only the obvious (winning games), but at least being entertained in defeat. The football we're offering is poor, it's boring, negative and predictable. I'll be travelling up to Burton a week Tuesday in hope we might be able to put in a good performance at lower league opposition but you can't blame fans for not travelling away, or creating much of an atmosphere. The fans bounce off the players and vice versa.

Evidently a lot of fans agree, that away end would’ve been full last season.

My first away league game today, having gone to Aberdeen and Olympiacos I had to wait, so disappointed by the turn out...

Home people make the Cardiff game with it being Payday weekend.

Must be mentioned that style of play DOES impact on atmosphere. Not saying we should be playing possession based football by any stretch, but actually looking like we’re capable of creating chances + scoring goals would give people something to cheer about. Even Pulis’ Stoke gave their fans something to get excited over (throw ins and set pieces).
