Are we down?

1 (one) word: Yes or No. This is taking into account the hopeful return of Brady and Defour in January. Plus any signings.

No

but things had better change soon.
Start by getting Ward, Lowton and McNeill in the starting XI.
Taylor will never, ever be a PL full back. He has no pace of the mark, a must for FB, and under pressure he has no composure.
Lennons best days are behind him. All he offers is effort and that should be a pre-requisite.
Lowton is just better than Bardsley, at both ends of the field.

No. Plain daft to say otherwise. Weve played 5 games, only one of them a winnable home game.

Today wasnt great but in truth the difference between today and lots of away games last season was a bit of confidence and belief.

No - things have to change but it’s game 5.

Plenty time to get things right but it gets harder and harder the longer this run continues.

nail on head here. Except McNeill is not the immediate answer.

We are a premier league side and last season we beat Chelsea 3-2. All games should be winnable with giving our full effort and skills; which we’ve yet to do.

Palace fans probably had a thread exactly like this after 10 games last season which would make interesting reading now because then look what happened! :o

Yeah they sacked their inept manager and brought someone in who knew what he was doing.

Of course we're not down for goodness sake. It would be daft to sugar coat that horrific performance because it was rotten, but we're capable of turning it around. I would dearly like to know what our patterns of play are going forward, because I've never seen a premier league team so clueless with the ball. You could clearly see where wolves we're trying to attack us, patterns of play, movement off the ball and confidence to run into areas knowing a pass would come. We were just completely static off the ball, and had no options whatsoever.

We are on the up.Good performance from Tarks and Joe.
But Jack Cork was off the pace and Lennon kept disappearing off the wing giving Bardsley no outlet.
Our constant slowing the game down didnt help but overall we were better than last week
McNeil should be playing after a string of good performances and Matty Vydra needs to start v Bournemouth.
Things will get better UTC

Are we in a worse position than Crystal Palace at this stage last season?

Turned out alright for them in the end.

Far too early to ask this question which it is why its so stupid. The sensible answer should be NO (exactly because it is so early - look at Palace last season)

But that effectively papers over the difficulties we are currently experiencing. Our midfield is really struggling to create, roo many players are below par and we dont really have many options to change this.

There look to be others worse than us - eg Huddersfield, Cardiff - and others we can finish above - eg West Ham, Newcastle, Fulham, Wolves - but we need to see that team from last year starting to resurface.

Yes because they had better players and a board that would back the manager come January.

We’ve conceded 55 scoring opportunities in the last two away games. I’d say something needs to change pretty bloody quick or we will really struggle.

I don’t think we look that fit tbh and I’m wondering if they’ve tried to implement a new pre season programme due to Europa and it simply hasn’t worked

No

Had Corky got his legs sorted we'd have escaped with a season changing point. We need some mental strength in that dressing room to pull it together - now is when the like of Mee, Hart and Barnes need to be puffing their chest out and winding the others up.

Stupid one word answer. It will depend on Brady and Defore returning and hitting the ground running. We keep playing like that we will go down though. Until then we need to keep it tight and go to war every game, maybe try three at the back with Lennon and JBG Wing backs seem as Lennon is so reluctant to take on players and JBG getting lost (attacking wise) the further into the game we get.

Tip, frank - when doing polls, don't forget that as well as "yes" and "no", you ought to include the option "this is a spectacularly stupid question that doesn't deserve an answer".

Already covered - it's what normal people do - they don't reply.

Why would you design a poll and deliberately exclude normal people from answering? A poll answered only by abnormal people would have limited merit. :?
