Well played that man responding to criticism in the perfect way!

Lets hope this is the start of a new chapter for him, if he plays like that every week we’ll all enjoy watching him play!

I thought Lennon went from the Plastic Ono Band back to being a member of the Fab Four today. Ob-bla-di. Ob-bla-da.

I don’t know about that. Plastic Ono Band’s debut was one of Lennon’s best recordings.

He was excellent yesterday but the previous criticism has been way over the top. He's involved in much of our incisive play even when the team's playing poorly. Yesterday he really had them on toast on more than one occasion. But a lot of that came because we didn't fall behind.

I've always admired his work ethic. He runs his socks off and does some great work getting back, but he's always failed to show going forward.
Yesterday we saw the Lennon I thought we'd bought. Excellent all round, I just hope the lad can reproduce it now, on a regular basis.
Big well done Aaron.

He proved me wrong, the goal gave him the confidence to show what he can do. Kudos to SD for keeping faith in him.

We have seen this side to Lennon previously, we know he has it in him. He now needs to do it consistently. This is something that he has struggled to do in his career

I was so impressed with his pace at that late stage of the game - wow!
Great performance from both our wingers today

He was excellent yesterday, and I think it demonstrated that many of the contributions to this thread originally were a bit OTT.

It's no coincidence that his best performance for Burnley came both with the confidence boost of a goal behind him, and one of the few games we've played with him in the team when our opponents have allowed the game to open up. Bournemouth had to chase the game, so come out and risk leaving some gaps in defence, and Lennon is ideally suited to exploiting them.

Lennon's game is based on using his pace and movement to exploit space. In games where our opponents stay compact and there isn't much of that, Lennon needs someone like Defour who can exploit the half yard of space to provide a killer pass to him. But when the opponents allow the game to be more open, like yesterday, he's a threat - just as he was against Watford at home - particularly when he's got a little bit of confidence in his game (for example, crossing first time on his left foot rather than checking onto his right is all about confidence and belief).

What surprised me most was how effective he was playing on the left. Really pleasing to see his excellent performance yesterday.

Fantastic yesterday beating the full back and then picking out players rather than just hitting it into the box and hoping. Hopefully we’ll see more of it from now on.
