You look at West Ham away. A team who aren't in great shape and who we should be looking to beat. But then you watch the way they move the ball today against Everton. It's a different sport. They're not perfect - far from it - but at least they can often move the ball, at pace, accurately and play some football. They're in a different league than us at the minute. And, apart from probably Cardiff and Huddersfield, so are the rest of the division.

and rooted to the bottom, likely relegated. It would take a brave person to see more than one win from that list - what is this team showing to make anyone think otherwise? Things don’t just ‘turn around’, we are being lucky as it is that these defeats aren’t far heavier. Fulham should have battered us by more than 4-2 (and one of our goals was offside) and today only being 1-0 was insane.

I’m pretty convinced we won’t get out of this, dearly, dearly hope I’m wrong.
