Re: The good news
We thought we had a really good set of fixtures, when they came out but so far we have only played one poor side. Southampton. We’ll know a lot more about our expectations after the Cardiff and Huddersfield games.

I don't think Southampton are a poor side personally... Not a bad point for us.

Re: The good news
At Southampton we could've and should've won comfortably, and as said above they are not a poor side so a point was still a good result. We played some great football for much of that game and it was a joy to watch.
Watford at home - they've come out the blocks flying and hit us when we were fatigued because of Europe - that could have easily been a draw or lucky win for us and the rub gone our way.
Fulham away - They had multi millions of reasons why they played well and also took advantage of our fatigue like Watford did, a draw there would have been good, but they had confidence in their home form and took their chances - fair play to them.
Man Utd at home wasn't a game I expected anything from, and yet we still played well at times but I felt that Jose chose his line up well and beat us fair and square - not a lot we could do about them.
Wolves away - the "Must Win" game...??? not for me - like fulham, they won promotion and like we did they'll have a fortress at home for a while in their first season up - they may well sustain their form, I suspect not.
For me, the real tests are Bournemouth and Huddersfield at home - we come out of them with results and we can build the confidence again - and we, the fans, really need to get behind the team and not on their backs - we have our part to play too.
Lets not forget that Palace had a terrible start last season and at one point looked to threaten us for 7th spot.

Rovers conceded an injury-time equaliser.
Katie Hopkins is on her uppers.
Oh! and Burnley will post a record profit.

Re: The good news
Feel like as long as the negativity doesn’t take over the terraces to the extent it has on this board, then we have the ability, and more significantly, the manager to turn things round.
When negativity pervades it can become a bit of a self fullfilling prophecy scenario.
I think the ability is there, although of course we could do with a fit Brady and Defour. I’d say there were positive signs in both the game at Southampton and the home game against Olympiacos.
We definitely aren’t too good to go down, and the players have to understand that they have to continually play to their maximum to compete at this level. Similarly the fans shouldn’t sit back and expect us to match last season. The best thing we can do is get behind the team and create an atmosphere that lifts the team... I felt that in the Olympiacos game, but aside from that it’s been very flat.
Manager and fans need to stop going over the last transfer window. Lost opportunity or not, it’s gone.
