Re: Stephen Darby
Didnt really know much about the disease until just reading about it. Sounds horrific. From diagnosing it they give you 3 years to live. What a horrible illness for anyo e to have. Thoughts are witb him

Best wishes to the fella and family for the battle ahead. Terrible news for anybody but always more poignant when it’s an athlete who gets this sort of illness.

Re: Stephen Darby
A guy I have known for over 40 years is suffering badly with MND. It is the same friend Tony mentions above. He is a lifelong Claret and was always a big personality, life and soul of the party kind of bloke. I had a beer with him before the Liverpool game and his health has deteriorated significantly in the 3 months since I last saw him.
Along with Locked In Syndrome that Parky is suffering from, i cannot think of 2 worse conditions for people to be struck down with.

Re: Stephen Darby
Dreadful, just bloody dreadful and in one so young too.
He appears to have adopted a positive attitude, which I find truly amazing and very heroic.
Thoughts are with his family and friends
