The future if Burnlry FC
Now that the dust has settled since the defeat at Wolverhampton there is still a lot of pessimisim about. With thirty three matches to go there is a reasonable chance that the team will finish at least half way in the league. It is frustrating to watch the team lose but as someone said Burnley are in far better place than when losing to Hereford by six goals to nil.
Towards the end of the 1959/60 season Burnley lost six nil to Wolves but went on to win the league. Anything is possible so do not despair yet.

Perhaps if we change our name to BURNLRY FC, we might win the odd game

Sorry about the spelling that is due to having arthritis in the fingers.

We could lose the next 125 league games 75-0 and we’ll still get “Still in a better place than when we lost Hereford, or that Orient game”

Is that the reason you also missed Ray Pointer's goal at Wolves?lancastrian wrote:Sorry about the spelling that is due to having arthritis in the fingers.
