Can’t knock what Chris Gardener has done to turn his fortunes around - I really liked the film and looked into him more. Found a few interviews and he seemed like a real pri(k which I can’t shake the thought of whenever I see the film or see him mentioned now.

Loving Vincent-about the life of VVG but the film to use a technology that I’ve not seen before.

Featured on R4 next, worth listening too if you fancy a unique film.

Just finished watching Manhunt: Unabomber

Story of Ted Kaczynski who killed and injured a number of people over almost 20 years. Thought it was excellent.

The Awakenings - another Robin Williams film. Shows what a good actor he could be. The man he plays, in reality Oliver Sacks, was still active and did a TV programme and I thought 'that's Robin Williams'!

The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser

The Wrong Man (Hitchcock)

The Human Condition - very long Japanese film.

Le Trou (Becker) - the most realistic prison escape film.

The Attacks of 26/11 - the bombing of Mumbai (Bombay).

Agree with Black Hawk Down, great film, watched it again on Sunday. Also Enemy at the Gate with Ed Harris as a german sniper, brilliant film.

Someone mentioned it above, but worth highlighting in a separate post:
The Pianist is an incredible book and film, and if you know nothing about it don't be put off by the "musical" title.
Yes, the lead character is a pianist, but he doesn't get much chance to play the piano in the film as he is trying to survive in the Jewish Ghetto in Warsaw during the 2nd World War.
No spoilers from me, but his story is incredible, (but true) and it builds to a moving and thought provoking finale.
5 Stars from me.

“‘The Dirt” on Netflix is quite good as the story of Motley Crue. Not one to watch with the kids around, though.

If not, then it’s another vote for Manhunt:unabomber.

Coal miners Daughter
Loretta Lynn story. Exceptional performance by Sissy Spacek.

The Patsy Cline story is also a decent watch. Not sure of the name of the film but it could be Honky Tonk Girl or similar!

Update: Just checked the title. I chose the wrong song!
Film is Sweet Dreams.

The White Crow - the true story of Rudolf Nureyev the Soviet Union Bally Dancer.

Saw it yesterday afternoon a very good film and very well acted by Ralph Fiennes as Pushkin with quite a few non English actors playing the other parts.

. suggests the film Zero Day if South West is interested in the event that made Moore make that film. He thinks it should still be available on YouTube.

Edit - he has found the link - https://youtu.be/9uaTwwgcnxc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
