Dyches press conference
Just seen his press conference ahead of this weekend.
Fair play to Dyche. He seems extremely relaxed, confident and absolutely aware of where the problems lie and how we need to address them. He doesn't seem fazed at all and his body language and manner suggest that if you didnt know any different there is nothing to worry about.
Feeling confident this weekend after watching that.

I question him sometimes then remember getting beat 0-6 at home off Hereford Utd. Not forgetting 4-7 and 2-7 at home to Watford and the Wendies in 2003. Then I pinch myself and think we're ok thanks!RingoMcCartney wrote:Anybody calling for the head of this straight talking, honest as the day is long, easy to like man. Absolutely. I was at the Hereford game and the 0.5 drubbing by wolves after giving steve bull constant grief for the first 15 minutes, around the same time The defeat by a 9 man Rochdale was another low point as well. Hopefully, long gone days.Wisswosswass wrote:I question him sometimes then remember getting beat 0-6 at home off Hereford Utd. Not forgetting 4-7 and 2-7 at home to Watford and the Wendies in 2003. Re: Dyches press conference
I thought the radio lancs interview was a lot more insightful than the general ‘presser’ - went into a
lot more detail into the difficulties that the early Europa rounds presented.
Gave me confidence that we could eke our a 1-0 tomorrow.

Hard to argue with the above, hopefully the fog has lifted n Bardsley, Taylor, Lennon are dropped tomorrow.Top Claret wrote:Football is a results business. Let the football do the talking, not the manager.

Proof will be in the pudding,it makes sense for Sean to be bullish in the media, the players have to be lifted, but ultimately we have to start producing on the park.

Btw, when you say a million miles away - The players aren't good enough at this level?joey13 wrote:Lose Saturday and it will be our worst ever start to a season

Hi joey, what was your first game? I first went on against Fulham in Sept (or was it Oct) 1967. Clarets won. A young "sniffer" Clarke missed a pen for Fulham. The Cricket Field was still terracing.joey13 wrote:Plastic fans , yes only been a supporter for 50 years , so before making asine comments get your facts right , other supporters have a genuine right to be disappointed about what could be potential the worst start to a season ever .

Sean Dyche works for me. What's not to like about playing Premier League after where Burnley have been for a large part of the last 50 years?

great interview, despite the cretinous questions, he is assured and full of belief in his ideas. I have no doubts a win is coming tomorrow, and they will build on it week by week too.

Re: Dyches press conference
On and off the field. Off the field happy with the way the club has been run and continues to be run. Slightly disappointed that we failed to land a couple of our targets but that’s football. Hart has been fantastic, Vydra very promising and Gibson I’m sure will strengthen us.
On the field results and performances have been poor but our opponents have deserved the results against us. We have to play better and improve our results. Finishing 7th last season guarantees nothing this season. Our aim every season is to avoid relegation. Anything over and above that is a bonus. But I believe we will have several seasons where we more than just survive.
Just wish our supporters wouldn’t keep overreacting to each and every setback along the way.
