Dyches press conference

Post by cricketfieldclarets » Fri Sep 21, 2018 6:07 pm

Just seen his press conference ahead of this weekend.

Fair play to Dyche. He seems extremely relaxed, confident and absolutely aware of where the problems lie and how we need to address them. He doesn't seem fazed at all and his body language and manner suggest that if you didnt know any different there is nothing to worry about.

Feeling confident this weekend after watching that.

Just watched it. He is honest as usual. Love the response to the cricket analogy.

Good conference talk sounds like hes had a word in the players ears analysed the rights and wrongs and injected belief
Lets now put it into practice and get our season underway

I question him sometimes then remember getting beat 0-6 at home off Hereford Utd. Not forgetting 4-7 and 2-7 at home to Watford and the Wendies in 2003. Then I pinch myself and think we're ok thanks!

Absolutely. I was at the Hereford game and the 0.5 drubbing by wolves after giving steve bull constant grief for the first 15 minutes, around the same time The defeat by a 9 man Rochdale was another low point as well. Hopefully, long gone days.

Lose Saturday and it will be our worst ever start to a season
Apart from first half against Southampton we have been dire , we are a million miles away no matter what he says

I thought the radio lancs interview was a lot more insightful than the general ‘presser’ - went into a
lot more detail into the difficulties that the early Europa rounds presented.
Gave me confidence that we could eke our a 1-0 tomorrow.

Proof will be in the pudding,it makes sense for Sean to be bullish in the media, the players have to be lifted, but ultimately we have to start producing on the park.

Hi joey, what was your first game? I first went on against Fulham in Sept (or was it Oct) 1967. Clarets won. A young "sniffer" Clarke missed a pen for Fulham. The Cricket Field was still terracing.

Sean Dyche works for me. What's not to like about playing Premier League after where Burnley have been for a large part of the last 50 years?

The supporters who accuse certain fans of being happy when we lose would be happy if we went down so that the former would **** off. UTC is at its alarmist best tonight!!

On and off the field. Off the field happy with the way the club has been run and continues to be run. Slightly disappointed that we failed to land a couple of our targets but that’s football. Hart has been fantastic, Vydra very promising and Gibson I’m sure will strengthen us.

On the field results and performances have been poor but our opponents have deserved the results against us. We have to play better and improve our results. Finishing 7th last season guarantees nothing this season. Our aim every season is to avoid relegation. Anything over and above that is a bonus. But I believe we will have several seasons where we more than just survive.

Just wish our supporters wouldn’t keep overreacting to each and every setback along the way.

I’m not arguing with you , i was reacting to your comment if it bothers you that much check out some of my other comments on other threads , I’m obviously delighted we won 4-0 and hopefully that will give us the confidence that has been lacking since the Southampton match
