Chico
(Mail online)
X Factor star Chico Slimani has suffered a huge stroke at the age of 47.
Didn't he once appear on the Turf at half time in the mid Noughties?
Get well soon, fella.

Re: Chico
His appearance is the only Burnley home game I have ever purposely missed.
Hope he gets well soon.

Re: Chico
Are you saying that you purposely missed a game just because Chico was going to be performing at ht! If so that's weird!claptrappers_union wrote:His appearance is the only Burnley home game I have ever purposely missed.

Re: Chico
What's more weird is people who are still in the stands at half time....

I find it more weird that you still went knowing that Chico was going to be performing.

Re: Chico
Sounds like he took his little glimmer of fame and used it to do ok for himself, and help a few others along the way.
Hopefully, for him and his family, he can recover from this.
Still an odd choice for half time entertainment.

Re: Chico
Nope. It was at half time. Almost 11yrs to the very day.
First and only match I have taken the missus on.
2 things amazed her that day.
1. The thought that Chico playing at half time was normal
2. How can someone with an arse the size of David Unsworth be a professional sportsman

Re: Chico
In fact... since that the game before that match, other than the remaining games on my season ticket, I haven’t paid to watch Burnley play at home.

Young lad who had his ten minutes of fame and made the most of it while he could. Make hay while the sun shines as they say. I don't think he took himself too seriously. Get well soon Chico.

It says a lot that, clearly having no talent; he is remembered when even previous winners aren't.karatekid wrote:Young lad who had his ten minutes of fame and made the most of it while he could.
