Confession
Confession
I think I may have been responsible for our poor start.
Having got to pension this season, I decided that I would not purchase a new top and would not wear an old one. I have worn Burnley T shirts but that's it.
This morning, I thought....it might be chilly later...so I donned my Dafabet top on top of a T shirt.
We win. We score 4.
Is it the top or can I leave it off next week?

Re: Confession
No. You’ll wear it until further notice. Washing it isn’t allowed either. Hopefully you stink mid May

Re: Confession
I had something similar in the promotion season.
Got a new Burnley Jacket just after the Hull game. Wore it every game and the undefeated 23 happened.

Not as ridiculous as younger posters stalking the threads of a certain older person in order to post negative comments, every time he posts.fidelcastro wrote:Old people wearing football shirts look utterly ridiculous.

Dyched is right.
It is now your duty to wear it to continue our winning run.

I woke up and as it was a chilly 68f here grabbed a long sleeve out of the closet. A faux brown suede number (with last year's white shorts). Am I now forced to wear said articles until we lose?

Re: Confession
I'm a bit superstitious. I did wear the Dafabet one v Wolves so was reluctant yesterday. I decided we can't be that bad again so donned it once more at the last minute. Not sure my wearing it causes a cosmic shift or makes the football Gods look down in favour but it usually has a positive outcome when I do wear it.

Re: Confession
Spotted a group wearing sandals and waving white handkerchieves, may have been some posters from this board...I trust this section will be adorned thus for the foreseeable future.

Re: Confession
I deliberately ditched this seasons shirt for last seasons, it worked a treat.
I also gave my grandson a kiss before we left for the match, he is only 3 months old. It now has to become a normal match day ritual.

Whatever, but before you express your mock rage again, my comment re: older fans with replica shirts looking ridiculous wasn't specifically aimed at IanMcL.It was aimed at older fans wearing replica shirts.JohnMac wrote:Joking

Re: Confession
Sat at a poolside bar in Egypt wearing last seasons away top. If you could please raise the funds for me to stay here until this winning run of 1 ends, it would be much appreciated. Please get a move on though as my scheduled flight home is tomorrow evening.

Not on match day. It’s showing your colours. Just as folk in the 50s had a scarf, rosette & rattle.fidelcastro wrote:Old people wearing football shirts look utterly ridiculous.
Re: Confession
I used to have a scarf, rosette and rattle!
I think rosette should make a comeback! I gave mine to the Newcastle fan I sat next to, in the cup semi at Hillsborough.

My Dad's 91, looks less ridiculous in his Burnley shirt than most things, and couldn't give a flying one anyhow.
