Inter-Town Rivalry
Being a naturalised Todlodite, rather than an actual Todlodite, I find the Rivalry between the town and its perceived more cosmopolitan neighbour Hebden Bridge to be quite amusing. I found this on a Todmorden FaceBook page and found it funny and very telling of the Tod attitude....

But Hebden Bridge spawned Ed Sheeran so Tod will always win.

HAHA Brilliant. This made me laugh. I do like Hebden. But Tods not too bad. Was there last night (Site Pizzeria - highly recommended if anyone hasnt been).
Tods a lot better than it used to be. And its ridiculously cheap. Especially when its only 5 minutes to Hebden which is ridiculously overpriced. And it has character and characterS!

Hebden Bridge is an awful place to visit, live or work, just needs flattening and a dual carriageway built.

Re: Inter-Town Rivalry
I always remember our german teacher who lived in Tod telling us that tod meant death and morden to kill whereas Hebden Bridge meant ... bridge on the Hebden. Tod and Sowerby are better for pubs, cheaper too.
