To name a few. I was going to put Juke on here but in his early games he was the opposite of Wood. Offered some good all round play but no goals. By the end his confidence was shot.
What game time did you see of wells To form your opinion ?

Subs appearances when I personally didn't think he looked too bad. He didn't get much gametime but we don't see him in training. It won't go down as a good signing though. He hasn't made an impact.

Like lots on here...we never seen him get any playing time under his belt. Now to wood yes I've seen him score...but he was out injured ? For ages which was shrouded in mystery but on his return he's offered nothing irrespective of a missing midfield of Brady and defour.he looks like a rabbit in the headlights IMO

The entire team as a collective has been struggling this season, yet people on here are behaving like massive whoppers and feel the need to point the finger at certain players.

Wood relies on service and can you honestly say he's been getting reliable and regular service that he can do something with?

Sell him in January for a lot less than we paid for him has to be the biggest laugh / head shaking comment on here

I'm not in favour of selling him tbh and I think he did enough at Leeds and in the first half of last season with us to show he CAN offer a genuine goal threat. However, I did say several times early on that aside from sticking the ball in the net, he generally did absolutely nothing else for 89 minutes and that Vokes was actually an all round better player in that role. And before anyone mentions it, yes, I was at the Olympic stadium last season when he DID hold the ball up and set Barnes up to score, but that really was a one off. In general the standard of all round CF play in the PL looks beyond him,

That said, this guy frustrates the life out of me, and I'd like to think we could get some return on him come January. If that happened I personally couldn't imagine it being to a PL club.
Fair enough but how many strikers had a better goals per game ratio than him last season? Only a handful I'd imagine and all way out of our price range. As other people have suggested if the service improves then I'm confident he'll have another good season

Wood doesn't offer much apart from goals when he scores and that's probably the reason he keeps flirting between premier league and championship.
He was poor against Burton no doubt.

But if you watch the 4th goal against Bournemouth he made an excellent run to take players with him and give Barnes all the space in the world.

If all he offers is goals and at a ratio of around 1 in 2 - 2.5 I will be happy with that. Not many have a strike ratio as good as his has been the last couple of years.

Prior to us, he hadn't played many games in the Prem. But he's goals to games ratio even at this level is still better than many strikers currently playing in the PL.

The idea that we can do better is pure fantasy when most of the other teams we are competing against can't either.

Ten goal plus strikers at this level are a rarity unless at a top club.

His composure is a strength and when he’s on his game he can pull central defenders apart.
His goal to game time ratio last season was actually among the best in the Premier League.
Is just possible that Dyche is playing him in the hope he rediscovers his form, admittedly looks low on confidence this season.

All three of our strikers, particularly Wood, have looked out of sorts so far this season.

I think they will all look better when Defour and Brady are back.

All they have to feed on is the scraps from hoofball

This debate is better held in December, Meanwhile neither of them will improve sitting on the bench, so rotation rules

We have better already at the club in my opinion.

A very good striker, for our level, but just off form at the moment. Goal scoring is a confidence game, he just needs a break and the goals will start to flow again. Until he finds the form though we have to start with 2 of the other 3 up front.

As for being off form, if Burnley sold every player that had a bad run, we'd have no one left on the books.
We're Burnley not Barcelona.
