A number of hefty bets in the last 12 hours with Betfair and PaddyPower. Both firms are now 10/1, but 33/1 is still available with BetVictor as we speak. Unlikely that price will last long.
Tomorrow could be interesting, not least if Man United lose at West Ham at lunchtime.

Some how I suspect City fans have influenced this market.

Fergie rates him highly but the fans would see it as a David Moyes mark 2.

If that's right I will give you the money myself.
Why would a big club want a manager who refuses to try and win things?

It’ll never happen, but if it did, Dyche would sort out the Prima Donna’s in a heartbeat. He’s in the Alex Ferguson mould. ”I’m the boss, you’re not”.

From reading that piece from Paddy Power I think that if he doesn’t confirm his commitment to Burnley by 7:30 Saturday morning he should be sacked.

Re: Dyche to United?
I could see that going down a storm in Salford
Re: Dyche to United?
Hartlepool United maybe, his football is atrocious, he can't sign foreign based players, his cup record is the worst I have ever seen and he's won about 3 football matches in 90 minutes in the past 9 months.
Re: Dyche to United?
Not to mention he's never proven he can manage or sign world class players, United lost to Derby in the cup, they can count themselves fortunate because with Dyche in charge they'd have lost to a team at least a league lower than Derby.
Re: Dyche to United?
I can see the Man United fans thrilled with Alexis Sanchez at left back, Rashford at right back, I'm not sure Martial would be happy with the odd 90 second appearance.

To be fair I don't think any manager could sign world class players for us, purely because we're Burnley and not Real Madrid or Manchester City.

Re: Dyche to United?
Anyone half decent capable of coaching a side into producing better football than the utter tosh we see on a weekly basis. We're so bad we can't carve open lower league sides, when a team allows us to have possession we're absolutely clueless and toothless with it regardless of the quality of the opposition. Dyche's rigid 10 man defensive crap is old and boring, now the results have dried up, more and more Burnley fans are seeing the stuff I've been preaching for years.LoveCurryPies wrote:Unbelievable! Why would United sack Mourinho to employ a manager with an abysmal record for the past 10 months who plays even less attacking than Mourinho?

You can only lose to the team you’re drawn against regardless of the manager at the time.
You’re not very bright.

Good to see Krbfc has spent his ban getting even more worked up about Dyche.
Must have killed him not being able to post after that Wolves game.

Re: Dyche to United?
I don't think SD has the correct skill set or knowledge to manage a team with any sort of real ambition. He wouldn't last too long IMO.
which is fine by me.
Without starting a seperate debate, he's just like an Allerdyce/Pulis/Pardew character. Does a steady job punching above a clubs weight.

Re: Dyche to United?
In the days before the massive money arrived with Sky TV Ferguson was given an opportunity to build a legacy that set Utd on a firm footing for the future. In today’s age no manager would be afforded that time to build, except SD and only at Burnley.
If Utd wanted to go back to building a new legacy, SD is one option for the right man for that, but they’d have to be willing to fail first before the success - and that’s the reason it won’t happen, nothing to do with SD as a manager.

When Ferguson was Dyche's age he had won this :
St Mirren
Scottish First Division: 1976–77
Aberdeen
Scottish Premier Division: 1979–80, 1983–84, 1984–85
Scottish Cup: 1981–82, 1982–83, 1983–84, 1985–86
Scottish League Cup: 1985–86
Drybrough Cup: 1980
European Cup Winners' Cup: 1982–83
European Super Cup: 1983
By the time he was just 50 (3 years off Dyche's age) he had won :
Manchester United
FA Cup 1990
Charity Shield 1990
European Cup Winners Cup 1991
European Super Cup 1991
So nothing like a young Alex Ferguson at all
