Pubs in Leeds for game tomorrow
Aa I'm spending most of my time in Leeds due to university, I need a pub to go to for tomorrow. Any advice? Don't worry, I won't talk to you.

For an equally challenging afternoon, catch the no1 bus to the Beeston terminus, walk 100 yards west, go in the Whistle Stop - and don't talk to anyone.
Or would you prefer the easy option: O'Neills on Great George Street near the LGI?

Is The Chemic still going? Have watched a few Burnley games in there. Plus a chippy next door. However this was over 20 years ago so things may have changed!

I lived round the corner from The Chemic but that was about 15 years ago. Good pub and the chippy was excellent.
No idea if it's still open.

It’s not the best bar but Toast, off Wellington Street is probably the best place to watch football.

Whereabouts are you based C&J? If near the uni, then The Library is as good as anywhere for football.
Food cheap and pretty good too. Had a chicken burger smothered in chip shop curry the other week.

Trouble with that place is they wont put the commentary on and any cheering in there is frowned uponBangers&Mash wrote:Whereabouts are you based C&J? If near the uni, then The Library is as good as anywhere for football.

I'm actually in Shadwell! But I don't mind a drive into the city centre, or anywhere, really.Bangers&Mash wrote:Whereabouts are you based C&J? If near the uni, then The Library is as good as anywhere for football.

The Whistle Stop is posh compared to the White Hart!jrtod61 wrote:For an equally challenging afternoon, catch the no1 bus to the Beeston terminus, walk 100 yards west, go in the Whistle Stop - and don't talk to anyone.

I'd drive to Roundhay. A few pubs round there that will show footy and only 5 mins from ShadwellClaretAndJew wrote:I'm actually in Shadwell! But I don't mind a drive into the city centre, or anywhere, really.
Re: Pubs in Leeds for game tomorrow
I would say that Headingley or Chapel Allerton are your best bets. Not Roundhay as there’s only 1 pub that would have the game on and it’s a dive. The Pit or Regent in Chapel A would be OK.
City Centre wise I would say Merrion St eg Brotherhood.

What Roundhay pubs would show it? Thomas Osborne (Streets of Leeds)? That’s the only one I can think of and I wouldn’t really recommend it.

Ah yep The Box, city centre, good shout looks lively.

We'll have to meet for a pint (in November as attempting to not drink during October) sometime. O'Neil's will probably show it - and Shooters.ClaretAndJew wrote:Aa I'm spending most of my time in Leeds due to university, I need a pub to go to for tomorrow. Any advice? Ive watched a few games (not Burnley) in Thomas Osborne and its fine and the Roundhey shows all football matches. If I was driving from Shadwellit would be easier to go to Headingly than go into townLS7 wrote:What Roundhay pubs would show it? Thomas Osborne (Streets of Leeds)? Edir: didnt see your bit bout the Village (CA) and Headers and would agree with that. Roundhay was my suggestion for easiest place to go to if he just wanted any pub showing the game
