Carabou Cup Draw
We would have got Forest at home (assuming we would have had the same number as Burton either based on the last tie or alphabetical order).
Winning at home to a lower league team would have left us one game away from a two legged semi final, three games away from another place in Europe.
Feels like a complete waste. Again. Yes, the side we picked should have won, but there was another side we could have used that would have been far more likely to win - last Saturdays. Five days until the next game. Plenty of rest.
Hey ho.

Prem is more important - I don’t want us to push the boat out and try and win anything .... finishing 17th each season will do me just fine ...........

Re: Carabou Cup Draw
Let's be fair. SD and the board will never win all the fans around. We don't have a deep enough squad and we aren't sure to survive the drop. If the board would prefer we concentrate just on the league, that is perfectly understandable. Because if we did go for a cup run and it cost us, and we went down - these same fans would be crying their eyes out, saying we should have forfeited the cups.

Are you related to any member of our board or Yawn Dyche?
That’s exactly the level of their ambitions too.

Re: Carabou Cup Draw
It's alphabetical order in the League Cup but given we are next to each other alphabetically we'd have had the same number as Burton so would have been against Forest.CrosspoolClarets wrote:We would have got Forest at home (assuming we would have had the same number as Burton either based on the last tie or alphabetical order).

Should have won and gone on, so my T Shirt would have a longer life!
More Euro trips are very appealing.

Disappointing, but that's football. We played a strong side and should have won the game, these things happen.
Re: Carabou Cup Draw
Very frustrating, especially as a few of the Premiership sides drew each other as well. Still, at least we've got the excitement of grinding out 40 points to look forward to!

Re: Carabou Cup Draw
Sadly the Premier League money tree overrides trying to actually win something,as we have thrown away a decent chance of a cup run,i except 6 points from these next two games to justify this, any less and questions will be asked of Sean, still at least the bean counters will be happy.South West Claret. wrote:Indeed which is why I banged on a about that before the match but some just wouldn’t have it
