Reading the hilariously angry posts and the 'Dyche out' shite is infinitely better and more entertaining than the first half was.

Re: Cardivvs City versus Mighty Clarets
We have to give Dyche a lot of credit and a lot of respect. Has he taken us far as he can? Maybe. But he can only spend what he's allowed to spend, so it might be a bit harsh to put all of the blame on him. For all we know, he might have asked for a bit more money and it be denied.NickBFC wrote:You may get hammered for that, but I tend to agree. They've helped.
But yes, it's hard to get excited about that sort of performance. For me, regardless of the quality, that is absolutely not a Sean Dyche team. I've seen little effort or desire.

Dont understand playing 2 strikers and getting overrunin midfield. We are just banging hopeless ling kicks and giving away possession. Defour needs to come on now.

I am sure I will but I really have had enough of Dyche. Yes he didnt get supported in the transfer window but there is no way this Cardiff team should be out passing us. This isnt the boards fault...it falls on the shoulders of one man and that is Dyche. Negative negative negative!!!!NickBFC wrote:You may get hammered for that, but I tend to agree. For the last time - Defour isn't match fit to start a Premier League game. Now, assuming you've understand that, you must mean you'd have started Barnes instead of Vokes? You might have a point.Granny WeatherWax wrote:Could play his best side tho eh

Re: Cardivvs City versus Mighty Clarets
This game is absolutely dire - no wonder we are hardly on TV - rather watch adverts and songs of praise for entertainment.
Wtf do we keep hoofing the ball to nowhere - play bl..dy football!! pass that bag of wind rather than trying to send it into orbit.
If we lose and play football I'd have no qualms but to lose playing hoof ball tactics is totally disingenuous to fans.
This is not even non-league standard, it's gash. How can "professional" footballers be willing to play ( or even joy) this stuff.

Defour and Hendrick for me, for Westwood and vokes. Vyrda up top on his own. For no other reason than it’ll force us to stop humping the ball to the big man up front. I can’t watch it anymore.

Poor show from Burnley so far. The team looks a shadow of what they were last week. Here's hoping for some clever subs from Dyche and a good second half

Re: Cardivvs City versus Mighty Clarets
But spending money doesnt relate to a footballer being able to pass a ball. When we have players like JBG hoofing it up the field after a corner when we have every man in the box just so that we can set up with our two banks of four or more a 6-4-0 then that has been done on the training ground. Players dont operate like that. It is coached into themFactualFrank wrote:We have to give Dyche a lot of credit and a lot of respect. Has he taken us far as he can? Maybe. Re: Cardivvs City versus Mighty Clarets
Of course Dyche deserves credit for what he has done at Burnley. He isn't and shouldn't be immune from criticism when justified though. And the critisicism this season has been deserved. Tactically he should be questioned, I honestly don't think he has a plan b and the general standard of our play is really tiring on the eye. Someone summed it up earlier - when you get results most fans will turn a blind eye to the way we play. When it doesn't work...FactualFrank wrote:We have to give Dyche a lot of credit and a lot of respect. Has he taken us far as he can? Maybe. The squad we have ARE capable of playing a better standard of football. The manager IMO is squeezing the life out of our more attacking players to fit his style and system.

We're away from home. It makes more sense to start Cork and Westwood in central midfield. Had we been at home, than risking Defour would have made more sense. I'm not going to put any more - if you can see what I mean with what I've just put, we might be on the same wavelength. If you don't follow what that means, then there's no point carrying on the discussion and enjoy the rest of your weekend.Granny WeatherWax wrote:He’s on the bench, he’s fit. Why can’t he play 60mins? From BBC (OptaJoe): 280 - The first half between Cardiff and Burnley saw just 280 passes attempted, with a 59% completion rate; both season-low figures for a first half in the Premier League.
