Cardiff are dead ducks regardless of who is in charge. I reckon they will beat Derby's proud record.

Sounds like he's asking to be sacked.

Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
Any team in the Premier League with Colin in charge is as good as down. He’s great at his level; it’s just that the Premier League is not it.
Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
still believe he should be given the chance, all depends what the board are willing to do regarding finances, its difficult to attract good PL players for some clubs regardless of whom is in charge

Must be great if the downside to being sacked is 'going away to Italy with the wife for a few weeks'. If I get sacked then the mortgage doesn't get paid.

Villa could do worse than offer an easy exit for him

Could be a cricket score at Wembley tomorrow then they have Fulham at home, if they don't win that one then it looks like Arrivederci for Colin.

Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
Strange one, considering they completely outplayed us all over the park last weekend. So why are they more likely candidates for the drop than us? I guess because we've found by experience those ugly ways of winning. And last week it was a case of just putting away our only chances.
I agree with KateR, Warnock deserves to be kept on, I wouldn't put it past him to pull off a miracle, but then again...probably not cat's chance in hell.

They struggle to score and are appalling at the back. That's relegation tacklechekhov wrote:Strange one, considering they completely outplayed us all over the park last weekend. Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
There's been plenty of footballers who are brilliant in the Championship but simply not good enough in the prem - even though it makes no sense as to why. Warnock is the managerial equivalent.

They remind me of one when we first went up to the PL under Dyche and we were in games but lacked the bit of quality to either score or get points out of the game. Since we've found a way to win damn ugly with a small bit of quality when needed.

Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
Joint least wins (0), Joint most defeats (5), 2nd worst goals scored (5), Joint worst goals conceded (16), Joint least shots on target (18).....going down
Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
I can't stand the bloke but think getting rid of him would be harsh.
With that team he has I think it was a minor miracle that they got promoted last year....i would not have backed them for a top half finish. They had journeymen from lower divisions and players like Junior Toilet who did not even have a club when they signed him.
Unfortunately for them there is only so far team spirt and long throw ins can take you...we had a lot more quality in our side when we first went up under Dyche than Cardiff do but we ended up with other problems and injuries to contend with. Cardiff don't seem to be impacted by injuries - they just don't have enough quality. We had Ings, Trippier, Ben Mee and a few other players but our squad players were more like what Cardiff have. Sordell and Juke were at the same level as Gary Madine for example.

Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
Warnock sounds more and more like a bloke that knows his limitations and can't be bothered taking the inevitable tubbings his teams get dealt in the Premier League. Didn't he actually come out and say a while ago that he prefers the Championship?
Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
Warnock was the one most Rovers fans wanted before they signed Mogwai (do not feed after midnight or get wet).
His level is Chumpy at best.
No sympathy though for Warnock if he will gets sacked before taking Cardiff down.
Plus if Cardiff do go down I wouldn't mind seeing young Murphy pulling on the Claret and Blue of BFC great young player....
No doubt the great unwashed (Shadsworth Massive) will be saying Sean Dyche is on his way to Cardiff. They've had him lined up for every managerial post going since he has the record of being unbeaten v Woevers

Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
He is brilliant at getting clubs promoted to the Premier league and a face that could strike fear into a herd of horses but never seems to be a able to have any luck at the top level.
Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
They currently have 2 pts from seven matches. When we first came up under Dyche we had 4pts after the same number of games and still had 4pts after ten matches. We then rallied somewhat (16 pts from the next eleven matches) so it is possible for any promoted team to do the same.

Looking at their fixtures, they'll be lucky to have 10 points by Christmas.
Relegation to you.
And "Good Riddance" to Colin !

Think Warnock is musing. Don't think football is 'the be all and end all'.

Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
With the level of investment Cardiff have made in the playing squad since promotion it is very unlikely they will stay up with anybody in charge.
Move forward twelve months and almost certainly with a far more competitive budget at Championship level than most of their rivals who should they have in charge? Warnock isn't a bad shout with his track record, so i think they should start planning for their tilt at a top two finish by keeping Colin in charge.

Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
A wee bit early to relegate teams after 7 games I think, and sacking the manager is usually done too early or too late... UTC!

Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
What can any manager do when the owner phones you up and says you have to shoot more.
It's an impossible job for anyone.

Bellendamy ready to step in
Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
Vincent Tan paid out a lot of his own money to get them promoted last time and even with that support they still went straight down. He seems to be less willing to spend his wealth in that way again and it may be he is planning on using some of the Premier League cash to recoup his previous losses.

Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
Who'd want this gig it's a poisoned chalice, you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear,and the lad Murphy apart Cardiff lack the quality to compete.
Even at Championship level they weren't prolific, top scorer was Callum Paterson with just 10,so without a major overhaul relegation was nailed on before a ball was kicked.

Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
I had Sunderland and Lincoln so still a chance of a decent cash out if Villa can get up around the playoffs.
Re: Colin to go at Cardiff?
He likes getting teams promoted from the Championship. He doesn't like losing in the prem.
