Dyche in or out
Cant believe how many are slagging him off on here. surely not a true reflection of what fans want?
If you could make the choice tomorrow though in or out what would you do....
Resounding in for me.

We can't sack him, but I wouldn't be too upset if another club came in for him and he moved on. It's gone incredibly stale and I think a move could be best for both parties.

Out .... fantastic manager for us and a great era but he has run out of ideas. Boring negative football for the last 12 months. No plan B. In my opinion looks to have lost the players.

I'd like a little entertainment, I remember the days when I'd be on the edge of my seat, the crowd buzzing and supporting the lads wearing the shirt. At present, I could doze off watching predictable, uninspiring and slow football. It most definitely isn't entertaining.
For that reason, I feel the club needs freshening up. We have a great opportunity to expand our fanbase but floating fans will not pay to come back and watch the stuff being served up, it definitely won't get children hooked.

Dychenosaur hasn’t been the most attractive this season I agree, however you have to be careful what you wish for.Barry_Chuckle wrote:I'd like a little entertainment, I remember the days when I'd be on the edge of my seat, the crowd buzzing and supporting the lads wearing the shirt. Agree with this, we are in danger of (in a smaller way) doing what Arsenal did when they stuck with Wenger, brilliant for a few years, followed by years and years never quite reaching the same levels again. Dyche is probably the best manager Burnley have had in years; maybe he needs a new challenge now, he seems devoid of new ideas or a willingness to change the turgid style of playjrgbfc wrote:We can't sack him, but I wouldn't be too upset if another club came in for him and he moved on. Out.
I'm getting bored now , and it's my only release in life. I find myself wishing I hadn't gone on most games. There's no excitement no surprises, and hand on heart, I think if it continues I won't bother renewing. Watching Burnley is becoming a hard chore that I'm getting bored of doing every other week.
( never ever thought I'd say that )
He looks incapable of developing or changing his approach towards football.

Be under no illusions, our club and our players cannot survive losing Dyche.
Why would ANYONE want him to leave?

It’s not even a debate really. We would be mad to get rid of him and he doesn’t deserve it.
Other teams have got rid of managers who play dychenosaur tactics and massively regretted it.

Might just be me, and the rest have actually enjoyed the season up to date, but since the start of the season , ( the transfer window included) I've been extreamly underwhelmed.
So I'll be removing myself from watching what we are calling football as it isn't gripping me.
The whole club from top to bottom reeks of doing things on the cheap, and continually pampering over the many cracks.
It's tedious.

How can anybody say we’ll collapse without him? How can you possibly know that? Its a cope out. Like we’ll get relegated if we had beat Accy, Lincoln or Burton. Or they’d rather seeing boring Dyche football than play Howes entertaining football whilst gettimg beat 3-0.
In for now. But I seriously hope the board are doing homework on a new man.

Was saying exactly the same thing in.the pub yesterday.
A manager, that is actually a coach that tries to make players play football.
Never had the riches, yet constantly sticks to the philosophy of playing the right way.
Win lose or draw they always seem to play and entertain.

Re: Dyche in or out
What a difficult question. A few months ago I don't think you'd have got anyone of sound mind questioning his job. However, something just doesn't seem right. Players look lost and not willing to put the effort in that we've seen from a Dyche team. The recruitment policy is so out dated and leaves us with a disadvantage to start. We're not to dissimilar to Cardiff in that respect yet Dyche got us the required points playing his way with his players.
Something needs to change but I don't think it would be a change in manager. There needs to be a mentality change at the top to realise we are a premier league club. Coupled with a change in the management structure. You can see at Man Utd the CEO route is good for business but poor for the football. Others who have a director of football / sporting director/ etc seem to be more successful in this era of the premier league.

I dont know though whether it is Dyche or Garlick to blame. In my opinion regardless of players nobody can tell me that just because you may be inferior to another side that you can not play football on the ground. Hoofing it all the time just invites pressure. Passing means you retain the ball and run less risk of conceding as the other side dont have the ball. For the football produced on a weekly basis the blame lies squarely at Dyches door.
Garlick i dont think likes spending money but before every transfer window he states we will break our transfer record and outspend ourselves in any other window. So he is either a liar or Dyche is too picky when wanting a player. I am veering to the latter again.
Dyche knew injured players were a while away and decided against bringing in sufficient replacements.

Do people seriously think we are going to sack a manager while sitting 12th in the premier league??? Maybe a few players need to take a look at their recent performances along with the manager.

In. For now. But someone needs to have a word with him and I worry we have allowed him to become like Wenger where he is running every part of the club and there's no effective challenge or counterbalance. Our football is awful and it's awful by design. He wants us fans to be unentertained because underneath that gruff footballing exterior lies the heart of an accountant more worried about the impact on the balance sheet if we get relegated.
He's also started talking garbage as well which has diminished him to me. I thought he was straight but he now talks in clichés, doublespeak and meaningless riddles that sound like something off 3-2-1. He's now just Ron Manager, a parody of himself.

In but only until the end of the season. Like others have said the football is dull and boring and I honestly think he has run his course with us.
Every clubs manager runs his course and Seans as at Burnley
It has been said that Dyche won't leave us due to him having complete control here, well if he is responsibility for our recruitment things need to change.
The lack of quality signings in the last transfer window are going to cost the club there Premier league status

I'm not campaigning for his removal, I won't boo or call for his head as he's done great getting and keeping us here.
However if this is the approach, and this is the style we will continue to play, I'll not be paying to watch it anymore.
20th or 10th, league position makes no odds, I won't be renewing if the football and the boards approach on every level doesn't change.
The club is losing touch with me ( I'd say the fans but I can't talk for anyone else ) it seems on a weekly basis

The overreaction yesterday from some on this forum was embarrassing and I'm being quite kind here. In fact, it was damn well shameful. I'm not having a go at those making constructive criticism, but some calling for our best manager in decades to be sacked, wtf? Dyche deserves better than this. We are Burnley fans, not plastics.

That’s why there are transfer windows. We’ve had FOUr lots of PL money now under Dyche. Yet quality wise we havent improved.bf2k wrote:That gets you relegated if you don't have the players to do it. See Stoke
Would our best 11 now seriously beat this?
Heaton
Trippier
Shackell
Duff
Mee
Arfield
Marney
Jones
Kightly
Vokes
Ings
We may have got better footballers in but playimg the same old crap system etc is what taking their quality away. JBG for instance would look 10x the player playimg for Bournemouth.

The worry for Dyche will be where next? In my opinion he is unemployable in the Premiership. No club will employ him as their fans would be in uproar. His only option would be a championship side wanting to get promotion.

IN. He was unlucky not to have Brady and Defour back for seasons start. Sadly it looks like Ward is done and Taylor is not ready.
We definitely need better than Vokes, Barnes and Wood to play alongside Vydra but Cork and Westwood have been very sloppy putting so much pressure on the back 4 and in general they have coped.
Last season the midfield were our first line of defence, this season they are the oppositions start point.

Re: Dyche in or out
That's not exactly what I meant, as you well know. He sends them out to play a style of football which is designed not to be entertaining where he has 4 defenders, two holding midfielders, two midfielders whose primary job is to help the two full-backs and two big forwards to deal with balls hoofed towards them. That can't entertain.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote:Ah right that explains it all then he purposely tells the players to perform like that to ‘unentertain’ the Burnley public. Thread over.
But no, he doesn't tell Ben Mee to pass badly, Cork to fail to control a ball all day, Barnes to disappear completely, Lennon to fail to impact the game at all, Taylor to look lost. No, that's about the individuals.

If I trusted the board to appoint a decent manager I would let him go and wish him all the best. Brilliant success for us but football style is dull as dishwater.
But the managers that have a plied in the past for us or the likes of Stoke recently aren't exactly inspirational
We could afford the Lyon boss or Monaco even the Turkish sides boss that played us off the park.

That's exactly what I saw yesterday!
Dyche has built this team over 6 years, it's his style that is restricting our capability to play attacking football.
