Re: Devon clarets
Right, I make it that's 6 of us on this board alone with indications there are more in the area, so can I suggest a meet up for the Spurs home game on the 23rd February?
I will have to suggest the Exeter Inn at Topsham for the Spurs game 12.30 KO because I will be at the Met Office till 11.30 and know I can get back to Topsham by 12.15 ish.
We have Clarets from Totnes, Torquay, Bideford, Exeter, Dawlish and Topsham. So for further meet ups for games we can switch the towns and pubs around to suit all by agreement.
What do you say all?

Nice to meet you today DC.
I gave you an inaccurate email AD. The first part is right but the last is bit wrong it should end in gmail.com and not googlemail.com.

Re: Devon clarets
A heads up for tonight's game at Newcastle at 8pm again showing at the Exeter Inn in Topsham.
After last Saturday's first meet up and formation of the BFCSWSC we are meeting here again so look forward to seeing as many who can make it.
Last time we played them I was out numbered by their supporters, so I might need some assistance tonight, all very good natured though.
If you can't make it tonight remember our next game is Liverpool away on Sunday at 12 midday.
BTW when I said formation of the BFCSWSC We are talking loosely

Re: Devon clarets
Three of us made the Exeter Inn, Topsham + another fan who turned up out of the blue and we had the landlord rooting for us as well. We outnumbered the Liverpool supporters anyway.

An early heads up for our next game on the box Chelsea away on Easter Monday KO at 8pm again at the Exeter Inn in Topsham unless someone has and alternative venue.

TTT for any holiday makers, although I must warn you that we have just passed a rule that states new people have to buy a round on entering the establishment, it's not to arduous as there are usually only about 5 of us at the moSouth West Claret. wrote:An early heads up for our next game on the box Chelsea away on Easter Monday KO at 8pm again at the Exeter Inn in Topsham unless someone has and alternative venue.

Re: Devon clarets
Hello Southams, my brother now lives in Plymouth, previously Burnley, and has been a Claret supporter since the late 50's.southhamsclaret wrote:Apologies if I am repeating suggestions that have been raised in the past. After 64 years living in the north I have recently moved to Totnes in Devon. Which is a bit of a wrench. I just wondered if there were other clarets in and around south devon who would be interested in meeting up for a beer and a chat about all things Burnley and maybe arranging trips to games. For the record I went to my first game in 1961 so have a bit of history, both good and bad. Regards
Martin
If you arrange a meeting at/near Plymouth be obliged if you can let me know.
Thanks, UTC

Re: Devon clarets
Welcome back all Devon Clarets, 1st game up on TV is Arsenal away on Saturday 12.30pm KO on the 17th of this month.
Anyone found a suitable pub nearer them for viewing the game?
The Exeter Inn here hasn't changed but thought that some of you may have found another suitable one near them.

The seats are booked the bets are placed so all BFC supporters are welcome as usual at the Exeter Inn at Topsham for our match at Arsenal.
