Are football chants an art form?
Here you go a seemingly arbitrary binary question for everyone to fight over

Yes
Remember Ewood a few years back that fat bird wearing a coat obviously 17 sizes to small. “Your coats too small for you, your coats too small for you”. It was funny, straight to the point and she knew. Thralling her arms eveywhere.

Spur of the moment chants are the best.
I was at White Heart Lane for the FA Cup match a few years ago. Out of know here his lankey long haired Burnley fan starts hurling some banter at the Spurs fans (nothing bad mouthed) to which they responded "Sit Down Jesus, Sit Down Jesus"
Burnley went 2 up pretty quickly. To which with great form the Burnley end started chanting "We've Got Jesus, We've got Jesus, We've got Jesus on our Side!"
The divine one didn't bless us for long....we ended up losing 4-2. Always tickled me when I think back.

Edward Elgar has been credited with writing one of Football's first chants, so you may have a point !!
