Vokes scores again

Post by Quickenthetempo » Thu Oct 11, 2018 9:41 pm

Vokes got a last minute consolation for Wales to make it 3 goals in games.
Spain totally outplayed Wales until Brooks come on then they had a bit of a go.

Suso and Rodrigo were superb for Spain.

That brooks for bournemouth is brilliant. Bit lightweight but a tricky customer.

Yeah he looked good against us, despite the result. As you say a little bit lightweight, but always looked dangerous when he ran at the defence. Definitely one to watch.

Looks very good, did great last season in the championship. However at 21 , a full international and doing very well in his first premier league season, I can't see Bournemouth taking a hit on their 12m outlay, probably leave for double or even treble that.

Not saying we couod have signed him, but with being a local ish lad, wide player, young, hungry , home grown, and available from the championship, I'd have thought he ticked all the required boxes for us....

Too young and creative for Sean.

Was thrown in because we had no alternatives, and was arguably Dyche's way of making a point to the Board. If everyone was fit there's no way he'd have been given a chance.

And what evidence have you got to say that's true?

As for Eddie Howe playing young players at Bournemouth that's at complete odds to his time here.

Don't talk sense, that completely goes against the current agenda.

I'm assuming you're talking about young players coming through the club? It's pretty common knowledge that the youth system fell apart in his tenure here.

I'd disagree that he didn't play "young players" though, he may have brought them in from other clubs but the following young players played and became important players:

Mee
Trippier
Ings
Austin
Vokes

From memory all of those players were around the age of 22 apart from Ings who was younger but injured.

Dyche gets a better balance than Howe ever did though.

Young players brought in or through by Dyche who could be or have been key figures in the future:
Pope
Taylor
Tarks
McNeil

Interesting that Howe went for predominantly attackers and Dyche's are Defensive players. It's probably a good representation of their differing styles, Howe teams score 3 goals and still don't win games. Dyche teams score less but are stronger, more well rounded.

Howe wasn't a bad manager and still isn't, but he's no Dyche.
