Funny how people will turn up in the expectation of us getting ripped apart by Chelsea, but the place is strewn with empty seats when we play what should be winnable games against the likes of Huddersfield:

Maybe it's the thought of watching exciting footballers?scouseclaret wrote:Funny how people will turn up in the expectation of us getting ripped apart by Chelsea, but the place is strewn with empty seats when we play what should be winnable games against the likes of Huddersfield:
Maybe it's all the away fans that buy tickets in the home ends?

Had a sell out for Man U. and they play boring stuff under Jose don't they?Quickenthetempo wrote:Maybe it's the thought of watching exciting footballers?

Yet they will be rows of empty seats on match day!Just 66 seats available online. All singles.
I have tried loads of times in the past, both this season and last to buy tickets for me and my son to sit together and there are none available but yet on the day there are absolutely loads empty.
Are there a lot of season ticket holders just not bothering to turn up?

Yes there are season ticket holders that dont turn up. Thats a fact.BigChaCha wrote:Yet they will be rows of empty seats on match day!

Despite what many people tell you there's still thousands of Man United and Liverpool fans in Burnley and surrounding area.
Re: Chelsea ticket watch
As others have said, it's simply people living in the Burnley area who want to go and see the big boys, not to mention all those who support United and Liverpool.

There's a world of difference. We can have up to 3k ST holders not turning up for some games.

Re: Chelsea ticket watch
Why is there so many empty seats available in JM lower every match , anyone know ?
Re: Chelsea ticket watch
Think those seats are reserved for programme sellers, Golden Goal ticket sellers etc., who may not take up the option of attending the game.joey13 wrote:Why is there so many empty seats available in JM lower every match , anyone know ?

It'll be a cracking atmosphere when we beat City in their own back yard tomorrow and then stuff Chelsea at The Turf.

Re: Chelsea ticket watch - Sold out
Me and my son won't be turning up next week to watch the worst football I've ever watched at the Turf for 30 odd years and the worst atmosphere! I got the score line wrong today though I had City scoring at least 6 yet Dyche still gets away with claiming to be one of the best Managers we have ever had! All you idiots that can't see what's in front of your eyes wind me up Fulham batter us yet Cardiff score 4 past them and puts to rest the money spent argument that Dyche keeps holding on to! Anyone want two tickets for the game next week your welcome to em I can't watch this embarrassing imitation of football anymore Thanks for some good memories Dyche but your time is up#clueless

Re: Chelsea ticket watch - Sold out
Rovers fans finally got rid of allardyce that lead to their downfall , if we persist we will go the same way , dyche had us playing football before the injuries last season , I genuinely believe he wants us to play the right way but injuries and lack of signings have got in the way , let's see the quality of football on offer in the new year I really think with the players we have when fit we can be a good team to watch .Dannyh1882 wrote:Me and my son won't be turning up next week to watch the worst football I've ever watched at the Turf for 30 odd years and the worst atmosphere! Everyone's got their opinions on how things have been on the pitch recently, generally reasonable and often well argued, whether others think they're valid or not, but when people use phrases like "worst football in 30 years" it's difficult to take them seriously.
Worse than the late 1980s and the mid 1990s? I doubt it.
Maybe it's just me because I'm too old but the constant and repetitive social media copied soundbites of the PL/Sky instant gratification generation are wearing a bit thin on here.

True. The Orient game was a turning point but before we got out of Division 4 we still spent our fair share of time in the bottom half of it. The tail-end of the Mullen era wasn't great. Under Waddle we survived a last day shoot-out with Plymouth to scrape Survival in Division 3. In Stan's first season we recorded back-to-back 0-5 and 0-6 home defeats. There was the season of 7-4, 7-2, 6-5 etc.defeats - although those who seem to crave the entertainment of the Championship over PL survival perhaps enjoyed that, followed by the 17(?) game winless run under Cotterill and the abject PL surrender under the unfortunate Brian Laws.
Just getting a bit tired of the ill thought out throwaway comments that seem to derail every reasonable discussion about where we are at and what the short/medium term future holds.
