Kleenex to scrap 'Mansize' tissues
Kleenex are to rename 'Mansize' tissues as 'Extra Large' following claims of sexism.
Quote from BBC article: One customer questioned the firm after her four-year-old son asked if "girls, boys and mummies" can use them.

Anyone else been terribly offended by mansize tissues?

It always struck me as a slightly odd name. If they were 5ft 9 long I could sort of understand it.

I always assumed it was a bit of a mickey taking name, i.e. taking the **** of blokes' reputation for over-egging a cold like they were dying of flu.

I'm glad they've cleared that one up.
Quite offensive in such a modern world. It was also very unclear in what they meant. Yorkies aren't just for men anymore and ladies and gentlemen don't use the tube. I also like the way the BBC and the press don't differentiate between male and female football anymore. Its all mixed up together. The other day between 2 news items on male football there was an item on an Arsenal and England player who i'd never heard of and then realised it was women's football. They are probably to scared to call it that now. We really are becoming a pathetically sensitive nation. Thank God we didn't have this nonsense when there were wars to be won.

I heard a bit on 5live sports this week previewing a game in the Women's Champions League. I knew it was the Women's Champions League as the presenter said Women's Champions League.Blackrod wrote:I'm glad they've cleared that one up.

I’m not bothered they were called man sized and I’m equally not bothered that they are changing the name. It’s just you getting flustered over the name of a tissue.Blackrod wrote:Yes you are a sensitive b*gger when comes to anything non PC or remotely sexual.

After the 4 year old had asked about the Mansize tissues he picked up a copy of the Guardian and started discussing the ramifications of a No Deal Brexit.

Kleenex don't care about being right or wrong on gender issues.
They've just changed the name to protect their brand and maximise sales.
Anyone on here getting upset either way needs to chill out and get a grip.

Whatever silly piffle like this happens, it’ll never beat Justin Trudeau interrupting a girl, asking about something for the benefit of mankind, to explain we should refer to it as ‘peoplekind’ to be more inclusive.
