Ben Mee interview
A good Ben Mee interview on the Guardian website, he discusses the disappointment in going out of Europe and his commitment to the club shines through despite the many recent rumours to the contrary.

Re: Ben Mee interview
Does he mention his hatred of Tarkowski and Dyche?
Re: Ben Mee interview
Has he forgiven Dyche for getting us knocked out of Europe / him not playing in Europe?

Re: Ben Mee interview
Did he say he isn't trying because Hart is on the team instead of Heaton?

"Mee played four of the six-match qualification campaign" according to the article

Enjoyed that. Almost gets me upbeat for Saturday. (I say ALMOST!!)
Re: Ben Mee interview
I know however if you were believe some of dross which infects this message boards then his non participation in Europe is why he isn't playing well or apparently isn't interested.jtv wrote:"Mee played four of the six-match qualification campaign" according to the article

Re: Ben Mee interview
It's interesting that it seems the club clearly expected to make the group stages and felt, given the level of many teams in the preliminaries, that it was ALMOST a given. BUT we were definitely somewhat unlucky with the draw as we got 3 very tough ones and the Greeks were just one too many! (Even though we should have beaten them and Mee JUST about reigned himself back from naming and shaming Vokes when he said we had our chances!! )
Re: Ben Mee interview
Decent interview from which we should draw comfort about our team.

The problem about Ben and Interviews with him is ....
They are all about "Mee! Mee! Mee!"
They are all about "Mee! Mee! Mee!"

Re: Ben Mee interview
Got to say, that's a fairly inspirational interview, albeit in a typically level-headed way.
But now I don't know what to believe about the spirit in the camp. Either Ben Mee, who's never given less than 100% on the pitch from the moment he signed, or some attention seeking clampets on here. It's a quandary, for sure.

No, you're right. I really like Vokes and I can't help feeling that if Wood is worth £15 million then Vokes is worth .......!!! I just felt that on that night at the Turf he uncharacteristically spurned several chances he'd normally have taken easily. (But so did a couple of others)Spike wrote:I thought Vokes played well and got in some great positions but am I to be positive

Re: Ben Mee interview
Lets hope his words about a tough game for City come true, it will be a tougher game for us than them, i hope Mee plays better than his Huddersfield performance, he wasn't at his best, but saying that, apart from Tarks, neither was anyone else.

If you take the first letter of each word in the article and write them out then you will clearly be able to see this along with the phrase ‘Help me’.Bordeauxclaret wrote:Does he mention his hatred of Tarkowski and Dyche?

Great shot which unfortunately hit the post
A good attempt to head on target from a cross that was slightly behind him.
So not really so wasteful as some would have you believe.

Still not convinced things are 100% right. Lots of these type of interviews floating about at the moment. Some witb players claiming to be happy others claiming to be disappointed. National managers giving us updates on our players we knew little about. Cryptic tweets, Players who are leaving after long service and seeming to be happy to do so.
I would say this is as out of control as we’ve ever been under Dyche since his first 6 months in charge.

Players starting are happy, players not starting are disappointed and some players have left the club absolute crazy times down at the turf.RocketLawnChair wrote:Still not convinced things are 100% right. Re: Ben Mee interview
I don't think anything has quite reached those proportions yet, in fact far, far from it. But I do think we needed rather better recruitment in the summer and although I have no issues with the signings we did eventually make, I think there is an element of stagnation and we didn't get the injection of new blood and therefore the boost we possibly needed to take things forward yet again. I really, really hope we can survive this year and that this new technical director appointment is the catalyst for an improved recruitment drive. (Without spending every penny we have or taking daft risks!)RocketLawnChair wrote:Still not convinced things are 100% right. Lots of these type of interviews floating about at the moment. You still used the words "out of control" which is complete balls, because things aren't out of control.

Oh the old spelling makes me smarter than you argument. It’s a football / Brexit messageboard not an English fuckin Lit exam.
‘Has out of control’can mean pretty normal to circumstances elsewhere depending on the normal status quo .
But you and your pal get all hissy fittery and crazy and create bedlam because someone ever so slightly questions Sean Dyche in a particular moment.

FFS it's 'As' not 'Has' Do you know how stupid you come across by making this most basic of mistakes?RocketLawnChair wrote:Oh the old spelling makes me smarter than you argument. It’s a football / Brexit messageboard not an English fuckin Lit exam.

Having said that, it's not as stupid as thinking that 'out of control' equates to 'pretty normal'.

Don’t care how stupid I come across. I’m very good and successful at what I do for a living and writing As or Has in the wrong context has cost me the square root of **** all. But thanks for the English lesson I will never use.

Been saying for a while it seemed the way we went out of Europe had likely affected the players so it's good of Mee to confirm it.
Positive stuff from him.

Yes, but it's those on here who claim that we weren't trying, didn't want to be there as a club and threw it away on purpose, who need their heads testing.quoonbeatz wrote:Been saying for a while it seemed the way we went out of Europe had likely affected the players so it's good of Mee to confirm it.

Re: Ben Mee interview
I have it on good authority that the first team squad have just just voted for strike action such is the feeling of unrest and unhappiness within the camp. Expect to see the youth team at the Etihad on Saturday. If only Dyche had your insight into what morale is really like amongst the first team squad all this could have been avoided. Such a shameRocketLawnChair wrote:Still not convinced things are 100% right. Lots of these type of interviews floating about at the moment. Re: Ben Mee interview
No one is doubting the players wanted to be in the Europa, the problem was Dyche sacrificing the clubs best interests because he didn't want to risk having a relegation on his own CV.

Surely it's in the club's best interest to have a lower risk of relegation from the Premier League?
